Sad to see this establishment falling downhill. I used to enjoy their food and ambiance but ever since pandemic times, they've... slid downhill. My hubby was in the mood for some fish, Sunnies to be exact. This was the ONLY place that had some. I had a burger. Food was... decent, not bad. BUT, they never answer the phone. So if you do take out you have to order online or order in person. Read more
Great fresh burgers! Nothing frozen here folks. Best fried pickles in Minnesota! Wonderful fun staff too. Great service.
Stopped here for a quick app and drink. We shared the chicken fingers which were really quite large and very tasty. The reason... for the four stars is that I took a minute to look at the menu for potentially eating here in the future. I think their pricesare really high! For instance, a 12oz. hamburger steak, with mushrooms and onions and a small side salad is $15.99! That's quitea large increase from about two years ago. I also noticed that most of their burgers are $14.99. Pretty pricey as far as I'mconcerned. Too bad because I used to like going there pre Covid. But I can't afford them now. Read more
Went to the Champlin location, my first time at a 5-8 Club, a couple of Saturdays ago...the burger was nothing less than... phenomenal! Went back again for dinner last Saturday night, tried a different burger, phenomenal again! Service is good, staffis friendly and food is out of this world, my new favorite restaurant! Read more
We came to the Champlin 5-8 for lunch today. We were in a bit of a hurry because one person had a medical appointment coming up.... We placed our order for sunnies basket, Reuben sandwich and California burger plus soft drinks. Our order came fast and at theperfect temperatures. We ordered thru Doordash. Got the Reuben sandwich, which was a tad disappointing. The corn beef was tough and seemed like it was... old beef. There wasn't a lot of meat in there. The pepper jack juicy Lucy was okay - mind you, whatever cheese you ordered, cameinside the juicy lucy. We had the chips and salsa, salsa was bland. They have a bunch of unique Juicy Lucy menu items to choose from, but I really love their Reuben. I almost always upgrade my... fries to the jojos (potato wedges). If you?re feeling adventurous get the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow blue cheesedip (it?s good!) The underside of the quesadillas are usually soggy but otherwise taste great. Sometimes special requests inorders get screwed up. They?ll happily redo it for you but once they made the same mistake the second time around too, and itwas an hour by the time I was able to eat.
