My girlfriends and I had the absolute best time lastnight here! The food was delicious and the entertain definitely sealed the... deal. Mrs. Lisa Hightower performed solo and even though her band was soppose to be there also, her by herself was justeverything. Eat here! This is a Memphis style bbq bar/restaurant that is serving up delicious bbq. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a... side of Mac n Cheese. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke ring. The mac n cheese had hints of peppers and was very good.Definitely a must try. Read more
We tried this place for dinner one night. We were greeted quickly and seated. I ordered the Brisket and my partner ordered the... Pulled Pork Sandwich. We enjoyed both were very moist and delicious. The sides were very good also. The pickle chips, potatosalad, coleslaw and Cajun corn on the cob were so good. Our server was very attentive. The restrooms were clean as were therestrooms. My second time at West Alley and they knocked it out of the park both times. Love the BBQ joint atmosphere in a clean and... inviting setting. The brisket / Mac roll appetizer is a must. Perfect texture and taste. I had the half rack which was perfectsized so I could enjoy the sides without that uncomfortable stuffed feeling. The meat was tender, had the right bark and waswell seasoned. The fried pickle chips were light and crisp, not oily or or soggy. The beans had the right mix of sauce andbrisket to round out the dish. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there was live blues happening. not too loud to disruptour conversation but lively and entertaining. The best part of it all for us was the service. Our server was prompt, offeredgreat suggestions and was fun to talk with. Can't wait to get back to West Alley. Read more
Fantastic BBQ joint! Food is on point. The BBQ was very tasty but not greasy like some places. The mac and cheese was amazing.... The space is well designed and the atmosphere is pure fun. Wish we would've tried this place sooner. Our usual BBQ shop closed down, so we decided to give a new place a shot. We were... very happy we did as this place is absolutely fantastic! Highlights of our visit were the brisket and the sides (in our casebeans and mac n cheese). The sides were definitely home made and packed full of flavor. The cook on the brisket was absolutelyperfect. Other notable mentions - the 2 sauces on the table (mild, hot, and Tennessee whiskey) and the excellentservice. What a great place. Friendly service, great friendly owners, food is amazing and holy smokes the shrimp and fish are... phenomenal. Tried every protein and loved them all!! This place was kind enough to offer Turkey smoking as well! Can’t sayenough, I will drive 18 miles from my home to enjoy this lovely BBQ restaurant.
