We booked the banquet hall at Athidhi for a birthday event. The event area is spacious with good space for decor and tables for... the guests. The food is served in a buffet manner in a separate room with some more seating options. Staff here provided anexceptional service for the event, wrt booking, suggestions on menu options, clear instructions on the dos and donts, recos fordecorators, setting up the banquet hall. Food was delicious. We ordered a mix of generic items and one or two new items, and itwas well appreciated by the guests. We had ordered for 37 guests and due to the flu season, almost 7-8 could not make it, but wefound the quantity of the food to be very less for the 37 headcount we had ordered for. It always looked like there was notenough food on the trays and people had to hold back when it came to taking more. If only the team had refilled it in a timelymanner and made sure all the food we ordered was served, it would have been a great experience on the food front aswell. Overall, we had a good experience working with people who were very welcoming and accommodating at the restaurant. Roomfor improvement would be wrt making food quantity available for the order that has been made, accessible in a timely manner forthe guests. Read more

We had a dinner at Athidhi during our visit to DC, it was not a good experience. Ambiance was good, service was good but food... was terrible. This restaurant is located by Route-50, near to Costco Chantilly. Very to close to Fairfax (May be 15 minutes drive for... Herndon/Reston people). Went there for a dinner. All the food tasted very good and delicious. It is more of Andhra style food,so for someone who likes spicy South Indian style food, this is the place. After the ownership change, they are going throughsome restructuring and I was told they are working on re-introducing the buffet in a month or two. Read more

Absolutely great food. They had okra curry with peanuts just as my abuelita cooks. It reminded me of her cooking. For one meal I... felt content. I am sorry for any inconvenience I caused. Recently been to this restaurant. First of all, the restaurant is under renovation and until the work is done they should not... have opened the dine in service. The quality of food has gone down like anything. I ordered Dosa and I must say, it was not worth. Beside the taste, presentation was just poor. Sambar tasted just horrible. I took party hall on July 16, took $25/plate plan?.ordered for 45 people and guests are also as expected. Ordered veg and non... veg as per menu. But I did not know I should let them know veg people are more, I don?t know why we need to say veg people aremore as they did not mentioned before regarding this.let me tell you I got half small tray veg biryani and most of the itemsare completed with half of the people and got smell for chicken dum biryani which is so bad, this is my son first birthday andall the guests commented these things which is very bad, I asked for extra hour in morning for decorations which they charged$50 when they charged for everything why should I do not get the money back as they did not give what they said, after wardsthey gave veg fried rice and samosa chat which they started after I complained where most of the guests went off?please suggestif I can complain somewhere regarding this? People please do not go with this false menu pricing, instead you can book otherparty hall and food from any other places. Food (we had South Indian veg) at the restaurant was amazing. All orders were fresh and tasty(touch to the spicy side, but that... is how we preferred). I wish they had buffet option though. The service was excellent. It was surprising that it was pretty muchempty being a weekend. But, all in all, we had a good experience. The patron in charge provided a good service.
