Let me start off by saying I will rarely try out new pho places, this place was recommended to me by coworkers, the menu made... everything sound good, I got the P4 pho and mixed with siracha, may I just say the portion size was incredible, everythingbalanced, the crispy spring rolls were in fact, crispy, wish more fish oil would come with it but no complaints, the water had aweird after taste to me, not sure if there is something with the tap. Probably the worst pho I've ever had. Flavorless and beef tasted old.
If you have been craving a piping hot bowl of Pho and are looking to satisfy that urge, Pho 98 is the place for you! I love the... fact that they are open at 9:30 AM so you can get your Pho fix at breakfast - just like on the streets of Hanoi & Saigon in 95+degree weather :) The bowl of pho comes with the standard side plate that has bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime (orlemon) along with a lil dipping sauce bowl with hoisin and sriracha to further flavor your broth or dip the various meats youorder in. The broth is absolutely amazing, and you can get lost in its depth of flavor :) Its packed full of warming spicesincluding star anise, cloves, and cinnamon. Pho taste good but when it comes to over rice dishes they?re inconsistent. The grilled lemon grass chicken and grilled beef are... great but inconsistent the way they cooked it, in the menu it?s says grilled but when they served it it?s fried sometimes. Theplace is clean. Read more
So This is Pho? Number 1 son is a big php fan so we tried this place on a Sunday afternoon. The place was clean. Service prompt... and friendly. Food servings large. I had a Hot and Spicy Beef. Spouse ordered chicken. The food was ok. Not bad but notremarkable enough to bring me back. $35 for three bowls of soup seems a bit much. If someone visiting really wanted pho, I wouldtake them. But I wont be going back on my own. UPDATE FEB 2021: Service and dining area still very good. I spent some timeresearching the menu and VN food so I was better prepared to make better choices. A large #13 was spot on, the perfect dine-in pick me up on a cold winter?s day, with succulent fatty brisket and round eye... steak, and extra jalapeños. My pho was mid $12 (Jan 2022) and they do accept cards. I would definitely return. Read more
The food was delicious. Normally, I will give them 5 star, but they provided no water and there were empty plates on many tables... for hours waiting to be disposed of. I had to to take a different table just because my favorite table had empty/leftovers onit. Read more
I tried the Grill pork and Spring rolls over noodles and the French Summer Rolls. They were good but I can't get over how... unprofessional and a little mean from the waiter I encountered on my first visit. He seemed to be very friendly and courteous toother patrons but super rude with a serious pair of eyes to me, even though I was speaking Vietnamese to him. My first time andwill be my last time, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, indeed. Good food but bad service still doesn'tattract customers from my views. Read more
