Boujee prices with janky service. Food is adequate for the higher prices, however, service is lacking. Received an incorrect... breakfast order and advised staff. Was told I could have a side of the correct omelette fillings (tomatoes, onions, cheese) orwould have to wait a long time. Not necessarily the wrong response, but the response was very snarky. I felt the staff memberwas very ?put out? to assist at all. No offer to credit the order or otherwise make it right. Will not be returning. Read more

My husband and I had a nice Sunday brunch here. The person who seated us was very funny and helpful. The food was good but the... price was a little on the high side considering there is relatively little service to go with the meal. However, I love that therestaurant pays a living wage and has a wide variety of food offerings. Read more
We love Breakaway and have been going regularly since they opened. The service was a bit rocky in their early days .. but they... have worked hard and have figured out the formula. Regular menu items are always tasty and fresh. Very consistent. Only twoknocks - 1) the baked goods can be hit or miss; 2) prices are a bit high for some items .... but overall... this is our go tospot in this area. Highly recommend checking them out. Read more
Our daughter had been in UNC Hospital for the last 3 weeks and we?re so happy to have found Breakaway Café. We?ve enjoyed at... least 3 meals here over that time and they?ve been fantastic. For breakfast, I recommend the Chorizo Skillet with addedjalapeños? great stuff! Read more
We had a great experience as a family of three grabbing a meal. One of the shortest wait times to have food delivered to our... table. Food was absolutely fantastic not to mention the maple latte! They also had gluten free options as well which is nice tosee My husband would give this place 4 stars only because they put adoptable kittens on the table which we cannot adopt. Read more
It was a good lunch. I had the turkey green apple cheese cranberry sandwich. The salad and dressing were superb. I took the... sandwich apart and ate everything separately and it was really good! If you're ever in Chapel Hill and need breakfast or lunch, you must try this place, as you will not be disappointed!! I had the... breakfast burrito with breakfast potatoes. WOW!! I was not anticipating on getting THE BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO I HAVE EVER HAD IN55 YEARS!! The potatoes were perfect, as well!! I had a Haw River Coffee Creme Stout, which went well with the food.
