Just came for the bar plate menu, not full dinner menu. Fried shrimp and wedge salad. My meal was great. Diet Coke was... completely flat, but when I told the waitress, she immediately replaced it with a can soda. Read more

Crossroads has a long history as a signature restaurant in Chapel Hill. It is typically a treat to go there. However, this... recent trip was very disappointing. Attended the Sunday brunch. The food was average at best. The options were limited and notcoordinated. Garlic shrimp and Salisbury steak with breakfast items? The Salisbury steak we too salty and was uninspired.Expected better for Crossroads. The pumpkin bread pudding was a highlight, but they ran out quickly and never replaced it. Wehad a very nice server, but other staff was crabby when asked simple questions or requests. I guess things have gotten worse forCrossroads. Read more

This used to be our favorite restaurant and we want to still like this place, but it epically disappoints every time we go back.... It’s been on a steady decline since Chef Brandon Sharp left. Last weekend I ordered steak ($65). They brought out 4medallions. Every piece looked like an end piece. Service is still solid— but the menu lacks creativity and execution. It willbe a long time before we go back. Read more

Reservation for 7. We called in advance a few days early to secure a reservation for 7. We were seated no problem and with... courtesy. Once seated we were not served or checked on for the first 30 minutes. No drinks. We finally received service in theform of waters and tea. We had to request the drink menu as it had not been provided when we were seated. Ordered drinks for 3of the 7 in attendance. Drinks arrived in a timely manner. At this time I had to flag a waiter to assist with refills for thewaters/teas of the other individuals. We weren't asked for dinner orders until nearly an hour into service. We placed appetizerand dinner orders together, including an order that was shared so an extra plate was provided. It took 30-45 minutes for thefood to arrive, the bus service attempted to take the extra plate due to the time it took. We weren't asked about a second roundof drinks, I had to catch the servers eye as he set our food down and outright state we need another round of drinks. At thispoint we've been here far into the night. We are glad the food arrived. However, my husband ordered a steak medium rare, itarrived in a variable state ranging from medium rare on one end to well done on the other end. 3 of us ordered a pasta dish. This dish was bland, the noodles still tasted of water and were stuck together. They had not been well mixed with thesauce. Tried ordering dessert and coffee, the top choices were no longer available. Had to move to backup options. We were giventhe Gelato for free due to a consistency issue (melted/soupy). The coffees were fine, the dessert was fine. After receiving acheck for about $480 which included an auto gratuity, I was NOT impressed with the service or the food. Our thought was that thewait staff believed they were getting an auto-gratuity so no additional service was needed. Other tables were in and out quickerthan us even though we were seated first. I would not recommend this restaurant. Mediocre food, mediocre se Read more

I took my wife and kids here for Mother’s Day brunch. It was $95 per person, automatic 20% gratuity and taxes added. My 9 year... old was only $45 btw. The Prime Rib was good. The poached Shrimp were good. Everything else, not good. The desserts were likethe plastic cup mousse style you get at buffets in Vegas or at all inclusive places. The service was not good- I had toconstantly bus our entire table so that we could sit with our new plate of food. There were a lot of staff, and managers, juststanding around- they could have focused on these things that matter when you pay $409.00 for 4 people buffet. Although theplace looked nice, I can’t even give it an average rating due to the food and service. Read more

We went there for Thanksgiving brunch. We really enjoyed the place (food, service, and vibes) until we spotted a larva crawling... in our salmon. We called our server and we were left with a live larva escaping from the salmon until she brought her manager. They cleaned it only after we asked. According to the manager, they spotted more larvae in the salmon dish (it was buffet-stylebrunch) and it turned out that the cook didn't remove the skin carefully so some larvae penetrated to the serving portion. Notthe experience we would expect from this quality restaurant. Read more

Very disappointed with my meal. My medium rare hamburger took 45 minutes to be served. Was well done and missing the mustard I... ordered with my burger. Being short staffed the bar tender was acting as my server and he had no time to focus on my guestexperience. I just expected more and was trying my best to be fair but my guest experience was horrible. I cannot recommendCrossroads. Read more
