A great, no-frills experience. Farm House does one thing and they do it well: steak and baked potatoes. We arrived the moment... they opened on Saturday and there was already a line out the door. Despite the initial rush, service was prompt and we had foodon our table in no time. Our steaks were delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future. Read more
First visit here. Very cozy and woodsy feeling. Food was good but not awesome. $12 for the Chef's salad seemed exorbitant but it... was large. Server was pleasant. The dirty, Made in China kerosene lanterns detracted from the otherwise rustic, Americanambiance. Read more
Great ambience and rustic decor. Wonderful server. However, my favorite restaurant has gone downhill. Salad half the size it... used to be, 8 oz ribeye very thin like a breakfast steak, and overcooked, the cheese was different in the appetizer tray theybring out and fewer celery and carrots than usual, baked sweet potato delicious but tiny. I realize they probably had to makecuts to stay in business but a heads up would've been nice. Read more
Love everything about this hidden gem on the outskirts of town. Old school vibe down to the decor and incl a complimentary... relish tray with chicken pate, pub cheese, veggies and crackers. Low lighting if you want a romantic dinner spot. Steaks arecooked perfectly to order and served on a screaming hot cast iron plate. It'll keep cooking when you get it so if you want itmedium rate order rare and so on. The potato is the fluffiest most delicious you'll find anywhere. Staff is always friendly.Highly recommend! Rustic steak house feel and old decors .. that was nice. Unfortunately, my steak was overcooked. It was well done, not medium.... So I took two stars out. After all, it was supposed to be a steak house, right? Putting the steak on the iron plate was a cuteidea. I didn?t think the plate was hot. I had to say I love the pickles. My friend recommended one of her favorite restaurants, Farm House to have supper nestled in Chapel Hill. The staff is... professional, super friendly and attentive. Jean is amazing! I'm happy we got there before it got busy because we got a goodchat in. The ambiance is relaxed, inviting, and comfortable as you feel right at home. I had salad, rib eye (it was flavorfuland perfect...my compliments to the Chef), baked potato and it was so delicious! Of course, I had their homemade sweet tea, asany self righteous, Southerner would get. LOL As always, I couldn't finish it all. So brought the rest home. I'll let the picsspeak for how amazing the food is (looks virtually) and how popular this place is because I took pics of the parking lot andit's overflow lot. If you like really good steaks at a reasonable price, with no nonsense this is the place for you. Steak was probably one of the... better end of resturant steaks. Sides include potatoes with all the toppings you could want, salad, and some veggies, pate, andcrackers as appetizer. Read more
