Good restaurant in Governors Village. The atmosphere is great and the patio is very nice. They do have heaters for the patio and... the staff were exceedingly accommodating. The cocktails are wicked good here. Food is tasty, but not quite on par with Hawthorne& Wood which is why this is more like a 4.5 star rating. I had a lovely flavored and generous portion of fried rice. I had added Shrimp for a upcharge of $4. My meal arrived with 3... shrimp. Perhaps the kitchen made a mistake but I was disappointed to receive 3 shrimp for $4. They were just ordinary sizeshrimp. I took my half portion home and went to The Fresh Market and got 6 fresh cooked shrimp for $3.40. Read more

My girlfriends and I came her for our burger club. (Yes, all females burger club - no boys allowed.) The menu looked soooo good... though! A variety of liquors and wines to choose from. Their cocktail list has quite the tasty flavors too! We had 2 and theywere both delicious. I also had a glass of the CS Cab - the taste was just the perfect touch for alongside a burger. Ourburgers? YUM. First off, they actually cook their meat to what you request. My protein was cooked to a perfect medium rare.???????? They were also so delicious! I was very tempted to order a second burger just because I wanted to try all of them sincethey all sounded so good! We got the chocolate lava cake which was also quite yummy. Place was fantastic. Nice upscale vibe. Wasn't too loud or crowded. The server was extremely helpful when it came to explaining... items on the menu. Wife asked for the brussel sprouts which were only on the special. Chef gave her those as a side instead ofwhat her plate came with. The Shaved Salmon Pasta was a little rich but still amazing and I had the entire plate. Apps weresmall and might only be for one person. We ordered two which made it filling. Dessert was delicious. What a hidden jewel tucked outside the gates of Governor's Club in Chapel Hill. We've always had a great experience. Pictures;... starter of olive tapanade bruschetta and alternately a tomato parmesan topping. Then beet, goat cheese and asparagus salad withwild caught salmon. The wine list is thoughtfully curated and we had some wine tastings and decided on two different anddelightful by the glass Pinot Noir. The dessert looked great across the table, some sort of bread pudding with syrup and icecream that someone else enjoyed halfway through and then it was too sweet. Overall, great times here.
