The food at Shanghai dumpling is always at a consistently high quality and indeed, the food has failed to disappoint me.... However, contentions do arise when considering the price. Over the years, a noted increase in price combined with a decrease inamount served has made me hesitant to recommend those who aren't willing to spend 20 or more for a meal. Just for an example,over time I've witnessed the BBQ steamed buns increase in price from 4 for 6.95, to 4 for 7.95, and finally, 3 for 7.95.Although times are hard after covid, it feels difficult to let them go for this among other things. We just ordered general tso's chicken and it cost $16 and came with only 8 total "nuggets" worth of chicken. This has been the... second time that this has occurred too. Their dumplings are good but everything else is extremely overpriced and not worth it. I really enjoyed the soup dumplings. They were very flavorful and the soup was fatty and delicious. The prices are not too bad... compared to the amount of food you get. The custard buns were good as well. Everything came out hot and steamy so it wasdelicious. I would come again. Read more

I ordered orange chicken and it was $16 for what is pictured. This is ridiculous for what you are given. Also, most of the food... here is just frozen and reheated. The workers are not friendly at all. For this price, you can get much more food and betterservice elsewhere. Read more
