The Chateaubriand for 2 was just excellent! The 4 cheese potato was great as was the marinated veggies!

An amazing experience. The last time (all the other times) I visited, Carolyn was the manager. We were seated where we could... see in the prep area of the kitchen. We ordered Corn & Carb Bisque, Classic Caesar, Chateaubriand, Twice Baked Potatoes,Lyonnaise Potatoes, & Grilled Asparagus Hollandaise. Complimentary basket of bread with three different flavors of butter. Hadthe brown bottom chocolate cake. Blood sugar went above 200. Then with your check complimentary chocolate covered strawberries,red velvet cake squares, & pralines. Sweet tea & water. No half full glasses here. $200 including tip. Friday night dinner at5 pm. No kids allowed (located inside of Cypress Bayou Casino). Has a piano bar. The dinning area for the hour or so we werethere was never more than 20% full. Excellent steakhouse! The garlic mash potatoes is my favorite side dish. Everything is fresh including a variety freshed baked... breads. The caramel cheesecake is my favorite dessert. Their steaks are better than many expensive steakhouses I've visited.They are pricey but it's worth it. Read more

Good afternoon, I have been a customer/client of Mr. Lester's for approximately 16-17 years. Let me start with their (dress... code) which is business casual or business. Also, Mr. Lester's is expensive and their menu is a' la carte. However, continuereading and you will understand why and why it's worth the additional cost. Besides the (very rare exceptions) the food isfantastic, the service is second to none, and the atmosphere is also amazing! I mentioned (very rare exceptions) and want toexpand. In the many years my family, friends, clients, and I have been dinning at Mr. Lester's there has only been a coupletimes we had issues with our food. However, I want to make clear, "we were contacted a few days later from the Chief directlyand the matter was discussed. The matter was rectified and we were offered a private dinner as guests of the Chief as well asmeals compted." I simply explain so that no one has any worries about giving this fabulous restaurant a try, "I can promise youwon't be disappointed," and likely dinning at Mr. Lester's will become a part of your dinning through the year either justbecause or reserved for special occasions i.e. anniversaries, B-days, holidays, etc. Also, the service you will receive will begreat so please keep that in mind when it comes time to pay your bill and have the opportunity to (tip your servers), theydeserve it. I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time I ordered the 18 ounce New York strip ($69) with baked potato ($10) and the... second time I ordered the 10 ounce blackened tuna ($35) with grilled asparagus ($13). Both meals were cooked perfectly and thetaste was excellent. I love the food here. It it a bit pricey but if you are looking to impress someone or just have a greatmeal in a fancy environment, this is a great place to go. Read more

It was awful. $250 for a steak, fish plate, a beer and 2 sides. They sat us in a smoking section, when we reserved the family... room. The steak was overly salty and all fat. Out of 12 oz, 4oz was actual meat.The fish was dry. The grits were bland. The augraitin was so greasy. They kept taking food we were still eating away from my wife. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection! Everything we got was delicious. Also had a martini. The waiter was very... quick to refill our drinks when needed and was able to answer all our questions on the menu. Dessert was amazing and severaloptions! Pricey dinner but worth it. Read more
