Fantastic Cafe, only been open a few weeks with new owners. A married couple own it. The woman is delightful as your host! The... food is just the best!! I really like that the owners support area business, farms, bakery, etc.. The Food and coffee: Coffee,great and Hot! Food: I had a River cafe Patty Melt, Delish!! Fries and cole slaw were the bomb ???????? My wife had the caferoasted turkey breast Vermont cheddar and cranberry mayo!!! Chocolate Cake Homemade by the owner ?????????? Great overallexperience!!!! This place had a rocky start with the service side of things. That being said, the food has always been good with excellent beer... choices and changing specials. They recently have really gotten it together on the service end and we\'ve had excellent, speedyservice as of late. Staff is very friendly too. Had the pleasure of eating here a few times during our stay in western Massachusetts. Everything we had was wonderful, and they... made us feel so welcome. Do not miss out on their baked goods, especially their pies. We already miss the place. Read more
Visiting from out of town, staying a short distance from this restaurant and traveling with 10 people we thought this would be... convenient and easy. As we arrived unpleasantly suprised with the small and very expensive menu selection. Everyone who wetraveled with had something different and the food was very bad from how it was cooked to the flavor and presentation. Some ofthe food that we tried to order they didn\'t have so we had to select something else with the already limited menu. Waitress wasvery nice and kind. The place was not clean, as I sit and attempted to eat my food I couldn\'t help but swat away nats. Thewalls were dirty and what did it for me was the privilege of sitting and being in the company of a spider who decided to crawlon our table as we eat....I do not not recommend this place to anyone and suggest driving the extra 30 minutes in eitherdirection of this restaurant for food. I prefer a pizza from Cumberland farms than to select something from their menu again. Iapologize for sounding a bit harsh but this needs to be said for those who are looking for something to eat. We just stopped by and were extremely happy with our food, service and outdoor seating! Our waitress and owner was very very... accommodating and went out of her way to serve us a fantastic lunch!
