We just spent a wonderful overnight stay for our Anniversary at the Hillbrook Inn. We started the day by each getting a spa... treatment. The massages and facials were wonderful, relaxing and professional. The dinner served in their small quaint diningroom was perfect in every way. The room was nicely appointed and very clean. My husband and I had a great time on our mini-moon. The food was to die for and the property in late fall was gorgeous. The... staff was friendly and generous. Our massage and facial was almost too good to be true! I could not recommend this placeenough?it?s a quick drive from DC and allows pets, making this a great option for us. We wish we could have stayed longer, butof course the rooms were all booked! We look forward to making it tradition to come and stay here. Read more
Our stay at Hillbrook Inn was fantastic. The property was felt like it was out of a storybook. The grounds are beautiful, and... our cottage was very clean and updated, but had a historical feel. We cannot wait to return in the future. Hillbrook Inn was,however, very clearly understaffed, which did take away some from the experience. Breakfast waits were extensive - we'd have towait up to an hour to get food, and requests for coffee/etc were sometimes forgotten. The waitstaff clearly was doing their bestand working so hard, but there were far more tables than two people can reasonably take care of. We also never receivedhousekeeping. I received a text asking me when I wanted it, and then it never came. The following day we requested housekeepingin person at reception, and still never received it. We really just needed clean towels, and if we were told housekeepingcouldn't make it, we would have just requested fresh towels and it would have been fine. Read more
Are there 6 stars?! My husband and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary there last weekend. While we didn?t get to stay on... the main site, we still enjoyed staying in the farmhouse. There were so many little personalized touches that made our staylovely. I absolutely loved the dining room atmosphere and set up. I truly felt like I was in a different time period?.like outof a Jane Austin book. And the food?from dinner to breakfast was perfection. We will be coming again. Thank you for helping uscelebrate. There are so many positive things to say from the courteous staff to the outstanding food. We had our wedding here and I can't... say enough about the amazing experience. Michelle, our wedding coordinator did a fabulous job and handled everything for us. She was personable, down to earth, and made us feel special. I can't say enough good things about her. The place itself isvery quaint and on beautiful grounds. The food is incredible. This place is the best kept secret - if you're lucky enough tofind it. We stayed in Spring cottage, it is stunning! Very secluded, private parking & cute patio?the room was large with a sitting area... in front of the fireplace Short walk to the inn, we?ll marked path The inn, itself, is lovely, beautifully decorated?the diningarea is very pretty, main room is traditionally decorated, like a dining room in your own home, we especially enjoyed sitting inthe enclosed porch? Our stay was wonderful. The staff was all friendly and our Cottage room was very private and beautifully decorated. The dinner... we had the evening we arrived was amazing and we complimented the chef on the way out. The grounds are beautiful and veryprivate and we enjoyed an evening stroll at night while no one else was around. We will definitely come back! Read more
We first enjoyed lunch at Hillbrook and went back for Thanksgiving. Both meals were incredible! The service was impeccable,... professional and courteous. The food was really special. I requested vegetarian at the time of my reservation and everythingChef prepared looked gorgeous and tasted delicious! The appetizers, entrees and desserts all tasted fabulous, were creative andbeautifully displayed. My husband ordered directly off the menu and loved every bite. We plan to go back often.
