We had Thanksgiving dinner here and everything was fantastic. The served a 3 course prix fixe menu with a few options for each... course including some standard offerings and some special holiday only special items. We took pictures of the salad andappetizers (crab cake, porkbelly, duck, shrimp selections), but forgot to capture the main course and dessert! The staff was sohelpful and accommodating. Great steaks, pleasant lively atmosphere. Properly cooked and well seasoned, she crab soup was excellent. Steak frites are... salted with a touch of sugar was quite nice and different. Kayla took care of our group of 5 and our experience was excellent. The marinated venison was killer and seasonal salad was one... of the best salads I?ve ever had before. We visited Burwell's Grill for our anniversary dinner while in Charleston, SC. We were very pleased we decided to drop in to... this establishment. We weren't sure we would get in because we didn't have a reservation. We were one of the first in the doorat opening so they decided they could get us in. I ordered the filet and added shrimp and my wife ordered the filet as well. Thesteaks were ordered medium and they came out exactly as ordered. All of the food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waitedwas very knowledgeable and attentive to us throughout the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dinner and the best we had on ourtrip. If you're in the area and looking for an excellent dinner, you should definitely give this place a try. Read more

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT! Just can't believe we had not been here sooner but for my birthday, we made reservations at Burwell's. ... The house oysters were similar in style to Oysters Rockefeller but with a twist and they were excellent. I had the 6 oz. FiletMignon and it was stop-the-conversation delicious! I added sautéed mushrooms and frites to the dinner and topped it all offwith a Nutella Cheesecake with Cocoa Puffs cereal sprinkled on the top. Here is the capper: For the same meal we had at Hall'sChophouse and The Oak Restaurant, Burwell's was less than half the price! I could not recommend this fine establishmentmore...Well Done! We are no stranger to Burwell?s and their steak is by far the best quality and their wagyu beef pure perfection. For the... appetizer we had snake river farms wagyu hot rock, lamb lollipops on hot rock which you grill on the rock yourself, and oystersrockefeller. They all were absolutes delicious in every bite. We had 8 oz snake river farms wagyu hanger with lobster tail andfor the sides truffles parmesan mashed potatoes, asparagus and with mushroom and shallots sauce , 6 oz petites fillet mignon,and classic southern jambalaya. The drinks options were amazing as well and I really enjoy their berry bubbly. We went to allsteak places in Charleston and Burwell?s still best than those places. We went to Burwell?s when we were visiting Charleston and wanted to have a ?fancy? night. The good news is you can come casual!... They did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the feel of this place! It has a nice and cool vibe to it. It was such a greatatmosphere! Our waiter was fantastic! I think his name was maybe Nick, but I do know he was from Detroit. He was on top of it.He was kind, efficient funny, and very knowledgeable of the menus and recommendations. He was great! The cocktails are fantasticas well. My favorite was the berry bubbly and my husband loved the old fashioned. The food?oh my goodness, the food! It was allso phenomenal. We started off with the crab cake appetizer and it was so delicious. For our entree, I had the filet mignon andmy husband had the Wagyu steak. We both agreed this was the best steak we?ve ever had! We legit both took a bite and closed oureyes because it was so good. The flavor and tenderness was spot on! The mashed potatoes and asparagus that accompanied the steakwas perfect. We added sautéed shrimp and I?m so glad we did! They were big and juicy. We ended the meal with crème brûléeand Nutella cheesecake. We didn?t leave a bite! They were so good! If you only get one, get the Nutella cheesecake. This wholeexperience was top notch. From the atmosphere, to the waiter/staff, to the drinks, to the food- it was perfection!
