Had a wonderful experience at Delaney Oyster House! The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by... the host, to being seated, and then our server- everyone was kind and welcoming. The specialty cocktails were delicious. Theoysters were great. Had them dressed and traditional- recommend them all. The ceviche was very good. The shrimp ajillo wastasty, but I feel it could have done with a bit more spice. My husband and I had a pre-dinner cocktail hour here for the first time. Let me tell you how impressed we were with the service... we received. The staff were very, very professional and helpful with our oyster selection. Being that this is the hubby’sfirst attempt to partake in my love for oysters, the bartender that served us made it so easy for my husband to pick just theright oyster blend. The hushpuppies are out of this Southern town!!! Simply the best!!! Called in an order late at night to pick up. Was ready when expected and even had a moment to visit the bar for a drink. The... staff was amazing and the food..... Oh the food.... I have no words. The blue crab rice was phenomenal and the crispy fish wasdelicious too. Added on the octopus at the last minute and was not disappointed. I’ve eaten at a lot of the popular seafood restaurants in Charleston and I can honestly say that this place blew me away.... Every dish was prepared so delicately and the plating was beautiful. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the beet mignonette wasthe best way I’ve ever had oysters. The flavors in every dish were phenomenal. It was such a lovely culinary experience. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! From the ambience to the service, from the dishes to the wine selection. I had the... most amazing dinner with my husband. We had oysters on ice and roasted oysters, clam chowder, fried calamari, and flan fordessert. Best dinner I had in along time! I had an Arnold Palmer for my drink it was amazing I had the blue crab rice with a fried crab... on top never had that before and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Got the snapper ceviche and the black grouper. Sat at the bar. For a drink, got the In Mint Condition with vodka thrown in. Holy... cow! It was all amazing! Was staying at the hotel next door. Came over cause I didn’t really wanna go out anywhere. So glad Idid. Will be back. The food was so fresh. The drinks were good. The bartender, Fish, was absolutely awesome.
