What impressed me about this sub shop is the service. Today. You don't get service, anywhere. But, I was surprised at the... commitment to all us people looking for a sandwich. The manager seemed to be training someone. And hey, it was cool. The helpwas friendly, seem checked in. And that, my friends was very cool. Firehouse is a national chain. It has a theme. It?s really dirty inside-dead bug on the floor right by register, Grime and trash everywhere. One employee clearly only cared... about going home and kept pretending to clean up (wipe something for a few seconds, then go get a broom or a mop) only to befussed at by the cashier each time that they couldn?t start cleaning til 9 bc there were still people in the restaurant (about 8of us). Only One person making the food. Cashier sat down for a break instead of hopping in the food prep area to help. It took25 minutes to get my one sandwich. I should have walked out when I saw how many ppl were waiting. One person got their orderwrong. My order came up before the person who ordered ahead of me (which is fine for me, but I felt bad for them!). I didn?treceive my pickle and despite the fact that normally firehouse is my favorite sub, my food just didn?t taste good. I see thatsomeone from the restaurant comes on here and addresses/apologizes on all the comments saying it isn?t the norm for things to bebad?but clearly it is the norm and they ought to spend more time training employees instead of responding to google comments. That was a good sandwich! Whomever was on staff today did a great job. It was nice to see a nice number of staff on duty.... Usually places understaff, this place did not and it made for a good experience. A low-key, chill experience. Quite enjoyable.Keep up the good work!! Read more
Not sure what happened to my last review. This location has been fine all the other times we went there. It was still fine... yesterday with the exception that I couldn?t eat it. I would like to point out that my husband really enjoyed his sandwich andit was ready fast. However, I ordered my sandwich with gluten free bread. Apparently you were out of that which is fine. Whatwas not fine, was the fact that an employee used regular bread instead and did not let me know. Luckily I have ordered this kindof bread enough that I knew it wasn?t gluten free bread. It?s important to note that this is not like using wheat bread insteadof white bread. It is not substitutable. Please educate your employees on this. I understand people think eating gluten free isjust a fad.. and for some it is. It is not for me. Read more
Second time trying firehouse subs, to my disappointment the young lady behind the counter didn?t listen to my order correctly... and I ended up having onions on my sub?. My thought is it?s my money and what if I was allergic?!?! Doesn?t anyone take theirjobs seriously anymore. Waited over 15 mins for two subs, just to get my order incorrect ..let alone we were the only people inthe place. What a let down. She was nice but it would help if she got my order correct.
