My husband and I had brisket sandwich it was amazing. Melt in your mouth. He and I both got a sandwich,fries and one onion ring.... Then order of hush puppies. Yes it was 53.00 but worth it the portions were huge. I took half my sandwich with me. Ate it nextmorning and it was still tender melting in your mouth. Read more

So good! So so good!! Love their pulled pork sandwich ( as you can see). Big portions! Had a sweet tea and that?s not a donut... but an actual onion ring! Huge! Such good food. Paper bags for doggy bags and hours later ate the rest of the sandwich- stillmouth watering deliciousness. Also- bathrooms are clean and you?ll find management (or owners?) helping out as well. I had the turkey plate with jalapeno and cornbread. It was very moist and tasty. The Mac n cheese was also great and I enjoyed... the baked beans. I don't like paper straws but they provided plastic and paper. Read more
Melvin's has a wonderful family atmosphere. If you aren't full when you leave here then you don't like good Ole down home... cooking. The service was excellent. I had a chopped/pulled pork plate. They have various sauces to put in your BBQ. all of themate good. They have dill pickles and pickled onions and the coleslaw is fantastic. I'm not a big baked bean fan of any placeexcept for my own. However, their baked beans are good. You have to try it. They sell burgers and fries too and chicken so Ithink three of the meats are covered if you are a meat eater. Give it a try. I think everyone can find something they like. Read more
