My first experience there wasn?t a good one?. But something in my mind told me to give them another chance and the food was MUCH... BETTER. I had the shrimp and grits both times and the first time it had no taste and presentation was bad. This time it wasnicely garnished and tasted extremely different. Came to Charleston and couldn?t leave without stopping by the café. I had the shrimp and grits along with the collard rolls.... Everything was amazing and I couldn?t slow down eating it was so good. Then I topped it off with that good signature drink, theGullah Pineapple tea. Delicious ???? and the customer service was great (thank you Eric). What a GEM in a food court in the MALL!!! What delicious CUISINE beside a chick fil a !!!! Boasting a bold menu with bold... prices, it sure lives up to its demands. I?d eat this dish over many of the same that I?ve had in the fancy sit downs inCharleston or mount pleasant. Glad to hear they have a place in moncks corner. Still, this taste and talent with the palate islost anywhere but downtown. So come on down. Would LOVE to visit often on the historic streets of Charleston. Find an old house.Fix it up ans start cooking!!! Hope to see this little diamond sparkle in the environments that deserve its deliciousness. Gritscooked to perfection. OMG!!! Citadel Mall food court?! Man, this place needs to be its own free standing restaurant... The food is beyond flavorful,... fresh, and delicious! The shrimp was cooked to order and the dish was absolutely beautiful in presentation. Read more
Ohhh my goodness!!!! The BEST GRITS, FISH, OKRA, COLLARD GREENS, CORN BREAD, BREAD PUDDING, I've had in years!! We're definitely... coming back to Charleston to visit this Cafe as many times as we can. Great customer service, Chef Brown came out, greeted us,and even let me get a photo with him! Great people!
