My daughter and I love to eat at OCharley?s. Sunday evening we had the best waiter ( John B) . At the 70 RhL Blvd. Charleston... WV. We travel from out of town and he brought me the Best cup of coffee. I got the Louisiana sirloin, my favorite thing. Mydaughter got the steak and chicken. Thanks so much for an awesome dinner. Sloooooow service and lukewarm food that sat under a heat lamp too long. I've never even had french fries this old from a fast... food place. The hostess said 20 minutes but our server didn't approach our table until 42 minutes after we walked in. The serverholds our drinks where our mouth goes and my husband prefers not to use a straw. Although the steak on my salad was good, the asparagus and tomatos were unacceptable and should have been returned. The four... slices of tomato were quarter size and gritty, and it's August! The asparagus was twine like and not edible. Mens bathroom wasdirty according to my husband. And again, my fault for not complaining. Read more
First and last time trying this place. Was greeted by our waitress who reeked of cigarette smoke. Ordered an appetizer of... spinach artichoke dip. Was told it was ?coming out now? just to be told a minute later they were out of it. Waitress comes backto say that they just made some up and asked if we still wanted some. I said no since our food should have been out any minute,yet she misunderstood and brought it out anyways. Asked for salsa-extra salsa, and I get a tiny cup. Ordered the Fish and Chipswhich says on the description ? a GENEROUS portion of hand battered fish? and this is what I received. Unfortunately this last time was not the best experience. The chicken was dry and tough and the loaded baked potato had sour... cream on it, after I had asked for it off when I ordered. It seemed that it was understaffed that night, but that is no excusefor food that you can't eat. Read more

Tasty food. Clean interior. Quick food service to the table. Two stars shy of 5 stars for the AWOL waitress. We could see her... across the restaurant making time with a scraggly/scruffy guy. She was really making the eyes at him. Laughing overly giddy athis every word. Set our salad down without any silverware. Left our drinks un-refilled. Was nowhere to be seen when we spilled aglass of water. May try another O'Charley's but never this one again. Read more
Had the best dining experience a couple nights ago at O'Charley's, thanks to a phenomenal server named 'VJ'! This young man was... a General Manager's dream employee. Polite and well spoken, but down to earth with a sense of humor. His timing was spot on fromthe first greeting, to excellent table check backs, even waiting upon food delivery to make sure the steak was cooked right (itwas cooked to perfection) all the way to bringing the check just as we were finishing, and prompt collection of payment (whichis where so many servers fail by leaving patrons waiting too long when they're ready to pay and get out the door). If I everopen a restaurant, I will definitely be seeking this kid to be my server trainer! I hope management (who visited our table a fewtimes, and was also fantastic by the way, but I didn't get his name!) knows the gem they have in this one!
