The place is nice but our food was not that great. We ordered tacos and a quesadilla. The meat inside the tacos was tasteless... and bland ( the baja fish taco was great though). The quesadilla was almost full of cheese and very less chicken. They gavecomplimentary chips but no salsa or queso with it. Also, the reason I?m giving it one star and I wish I could give it zero- theowner is a racist! He came out after we left the restaurant and asked us if we have paid, for no good reason. I think he didthat just to insult us in public or else he could have just asked the waiter who was serving us. Never going back again. Read more

I ate at The Cantina for the first time on 5/29/22 with a... date because Smoke on the Water was closed. * The tacos we ordered were some of the smallest I?ve seen. * The additionaloptions (guac and cheese) we opted for were scantly portioned as well. The guacamole was about a teaspoon per taco, and the?cheese? was literally a few tiny specks. *See picture. * Her fish tacos were ok, but it?s hard to mess up battered cod. * Mychicken tacos were some of the most bland I?ve had. The meat was dry and just wasn?t very tasty, and the salsa didn?t complimentit either. * Lastly, the chips were few, fairly dry, and flavorless. The main thing soaring about this place is theirprices. I paid $43.46 with tax for 6 tacos. So over $50 with tip for 6 tiny, mediocre tacos. By comparison, at OWL onWoodward, I can pay $24 for 6 larger, incredible tasting tacos that will melt in your mouth and make you glorify the Heavens forbeing alive. The service at The Cantina was good. Staff are courteous and friendly there. Just hope they up their tacogame. We came here on a recommendation to give it a try. It has a nice atmosphere and we were the only ones there to start, so I was a... little worried. But we had tacos that were very good. I had the shrimp special and a Baja fish. Both were tasty and had freshtoppings that game them a nice bite. Overall the food was good and we?ll try it again, perhaps when it warm again. It was a biton the high side though as the only drawback when all said and done with the extras. Read more

Lovely ambience inside the restaurant; filled with bright colored walls. They have outdoor seating as well with a firepit, but... did not turn it on during our visit. Service was quick and waitress was attentive. Ordered one chicken taco, baja fish taco anda carnitas taco. Chicken taco was soggy and had juices flowing over which made it difficult to eat: carnitas taco was cold. Likemost Mexican restaurants, they do not offer free chips and sals@; need to order from the menu. The tacos were a little pricey..overall, a little disappointed.. Read more
