Update 08/05/2022 : tried coming back for our 1 year anniversary breakfast and doors locked even though there were folks dining... in and staff jus looking at us and we jus saw a man coming out with a to go order! VERY DISAPPOINTED! Guess we won?t be eatinghere again. Hubby and I wanted to try a local breakfast spot. Famous Toastery did not disappoint! It?s a 6 min walk from TheGrand Bohemian Hotel. The wait was not too bad, the hostess was super friendly, the waiter Mike and waitress (did not catch hername ) but they were amazing! The food came out super fast! I could eat there everyday! The selection is awesome, somethingfor everyone! I ordered the FlapJacks, sausage and breakfast potatoes. Hubby got sausage omelette with fruit, food was great! I highly recommend. Read more

First time trying this restaurant. Saturday morning. Wait time was less than what they said. 15 minutes not 25. I had the BEST... Bloody Mary ever. Their mix is incredibly fresh, not sweet, not too hot, perfect. Western Omelette has nice chunks of ham. Read more

The service is the shining star! The food was typical and average. I arrived at 10:30 am on a Saturday and it was very busy.... There was a wait, so as a solo diner I was offered to go downstairs and sit at the bar. My food came quickly, was of averageportion and was good but didn't knock my socks off. I ordered the traditional French Toast thinking it would be amazing sincethat what they're "famous" for. They must be referring to the many flavors of Stuffed French Toast on the menu. Several peoplechecked on me and everyone was very friendly. I would go back and order something different. Read more

Arrived around 8:30 am on a Saturday. I was greeted and seated downstairs immediately. Everyone was friendly and... welcoming. Ordered the stuffed french toast (rasberry) combo. The french toast was a little bland. The syrup is brought to thetable in a glass container which they keep in a food warmer - the warm syrup was a nice touch . Food arrived to the table superquick. Multiple servers checked on me which I appreciated. As a solo diner, I normally feel my table gets neglected. Therestaurant started to fill up by 9:30 am. I would visit again, but definitely trying something new! Read more

Is an average place that needs to fix some things for sure! Met with friends for breakfast at 10:00 am and the place was packed.... We got on the waiting list, I was told they are short staffed and I saw people walked away when they were told about an hourwait. Let?s break down these four stars! Ambiance- nothing out of this world, the place can be a lot more clean specially beingUptown Charlotte. Floors were dirty and sticky and so was the rail downstairs. Overall, is like any Denny?s. Customer service:the host was nice when I walked in and inquired about the wait time and wanted to make sure my friend?s name was there and shewas. So was the host downstairs, our waiter was not engaged or happy but we can?t judge. He might be going through something andit reflects in his job. Food: this is where I give them the 3 stars, I ordered Irish coffee and got black coffee with maybewhisky? But I politely told our waiter that my coffee was not Irish and I wanted the one with Baileys and Whip Cream and all thebells and whistles. He said: that is called the Kiss of the Irish Coffee or something like that. He replaced it and I loved mycoffee??. My huevos rancheros were good although the black beans were cold around and hot only in the center but they were verygood!! I will go back to another location. Oh the parking is next door,$5 an hour so budget at least $10 to $15 for that. Read more

Got there about 9am, 15 min wait. Seated and put in order pretty quickly. Food didn't take long to arrive but bf ordered sausage... and got bacon. Waitress said she'd get sausage, but 20 min later we gave up and left. Desperately understaffed and doing theirbest but still frustrating. Oh also a guy came in and went to all the tables asking for money. Started yelling when he was askedto leave. Pretty exciting start to the day. Ps maybe don't get the famous hash. Read more
