Very easy to dismiss this place based on location. One does not normally think fine dinning with a restaurant that shares space... with a Holiday Inn. But do not miss out on this gem..lets start with a key factor..service is top notch attentive and friendly. Then let's get to the food..calamari that tastes fresh and a tomato basil soup that will knock your socks off..followed up witha hearty and delicious lasagna and its a winning combo...leaving dinner with no room for dessert is always a winner... Mixed experience for sure. The drinks were great, so was the lasagna and veal. But, Caesar salad came in a mason jar, unmixed,... and the waiter did not offer a plate or bowl. When we asked, he mentioned chef Luca explicitly said it should be eaten out ofthe jar. With a fork shorter than the jar and no way to mix it. I suggest the chef rethink this entirely. Read more

I ordered a dessert $9.75 to go. I was not at all impressed. This is not what I expected. There is no Carmel at all on or in... this cake. The icecream is maybe a teaspoon. (The tiny white cup ) The popcorn was so old. The wait stay was very nice, but Ishould have looked in the box before leaving. I did leave a $5 tip. Read more

We went last week and were so pleased. The ambiance is lovely, the wait staff so very attentive.... but the absolute best, was... the food. The presentation a pleasure to the eye. The food was absolutely delicious...everything so fresh and perfectlyseasoned. Chef Luca never ceases to amaze! A culinary experience you don’t want to miss! Can’t wait to go back! Read more

We were guests in the holiday inn hotel and decided to enjoy breakfast here. They offer both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast... was amazing and a great price. The service was wonderful, so much we came back later for drinks and dessert. Read more

We had a lovely breakfast downstairs from the Holiday Inn at Forchetta. Everything was prepared quick and delicious. Our server... kept our coffees full and gave me a to-go cup for the road. Best breakfast option in close proximity to the hotel! We also wentthe night before and had cocktails and tiramisu. Read more

We got caught up in a snowstorm in Charlotte. Walking on the streets everything was closed . Was lucky that forchetta was open .... They were noticeably understaffed and menu were limited. Yet, there is nothing to complain about because everything else wassimply closed . Glad we had a lunch at all . Read more

Attended for a Charlotte Restaurant Week and left unimpressed. I had the Octopus which was delicious. The pork chop was tough,... but flavorful. I had to use a steak knife to cut it. The sauce on the pork chop was very good, but the struggle to cut and eatit was so much, that I only ate half. My husband had the branzino and the serving was very tiny. It was sort of tasteless tome. No particular flavor stuck out. He had the chocolate cake, with ice cream and cinnamon popcorn and for the life of me, Idon’t understand the combo. It was just weird. The Olive Oil cake was ok, but just ok. Based on prior reviews, I expectedmuch more. The food display was pretty, ambiance was nice but that’s it. I wanted to order just a separate order of ChickenAlfredo to take to my daughter, but they were only serving off of the restaurant week menu. I’m not sure if trying an actualItalian pasta would have redeemed them. It wasn’t terrible. Just wasn’t good. Read more
