For the type of food and quality this location has left me underwhelmed. The pasta was hand made but the shrimp was frozen prior... to being cooked and there were 6 pieces in the entire dish. It was not worth $20+. The Cajun shrimp also only had six pieces andmajority of the plate was vegetables that you could get at Harris teeter for less than $6. The crepes were worth the cost.Simple and well flavored. The ricotta and goat bread appetizer was good but not note worthy. Overall every dish was simple butmade to look as if the restaurant was Michelin star rated. I do not recommend it unless you just like spending money formediocre food. Their gratuity of $38 for a table of six people is ridiculous. I would have rated it higher if the food was worththe cost. Don?t forget the eight dollar charge for the credit card being used! Fantastic! Extremely clean restaurant, cozy at home feeling, wonderful staff (Jake was our amazing server), delicious food. I... have had pizza in 7 different states at hundreds of restaurants. Their pizza is an easy top-5 for anyone and personally probablyone of my favorites, ever. We (4) shared the Mexican, Chicken Florentine, Grilled Fungi, and Milanese. We also shared theGarlic Braided Twists and the Ricotta and Goat Cheese Crostini. Phenomenal flavor, perfectly seasoned, and well cooked. Not asingle less than stellar aspect from Intermezzo! Thank you for the great time. Read more

Plaza Midwood staple, locally owned, and a nice spot to eat/drink. Has a cute outdoor patio that's great most year round and... covered during the winters. It's Serbian, despite the pizzas and the Italian sounding name. Pro tips: 1. Piroska is my favoriteitem on the menu, it's calzone-like and tasty, highly recommend 2. Pizza is solid, but varies depending on selection 3. Lasagnais tasty, but the portion is unfilling 4. Get the crostini appetizer over the bruschetta 5. Credit cards are charged a 3.5% fee, this is only communicated on bottom of the receipts 6. The waiters often ask if you want spinach in your piroska or marinarawith your appetizer (such as the crostini), they're always an unspoken extra, $1 and $2 respectively. Definitely get themarinara, just be aware. Read more

Wonderful Place! Yummy food! If you get tired of chain pizza or just want something different, this place is kick a$$! The... Gaelic twists , we could smell them coming. I know drooling is unattractive but, OMG. The flavor mixed with the sauce was topnotch! We had a half & half pizza with Chicken Florentine & the Caprioccio. So good! The crust is thin but a thicker stylewould negate the awesome flavor that hits your palate. The atmosphere is old red brick, like original because you can't fakethat type of color or mortar. There is lots of outside seating for people watching. At Central Ave, there's alwayspeople. Bottom line: its getting a repeat, maybe a threepeat ????. Read more
