I have to brag on this food & the service we had from Sandy. His mother Doreen’s cornbread recipes are used to make the cast... iron skillet cornbread with corn & jalapeño & the cornbread dessert which is no longer on the menu. He is from Brooklyn and Ifeel so fortunate that Charlotte has gained such an awesome human being. Our group loved getting to know him! For entrees, wehad the crab cakes (99% crab meat!), salmon with asparagus (both not pictured), and the chicken enchiladas with street cornwhich were all fantastic dishes. We’ll definitely be returning next time we are in Ballantyne to see Sandy and eat some moreyummy food! Read more

This is my new favorite restaurant!! The food, the service, the environment, were all a 11/10! The menu offers a variety of... different price points and is food allergy friendly. They also allow you to substitute based on your dietary needs. I orderedthe Ahi Tuna Wantons as my appetizer, they were delicious!!! They were accommodating to my nutritional request by eliminatingthe wanton. My server, Cole, did not disappoint in his recommendation for this app. I trusted his opinion to ask what I shouldget for dinner and he recommended a few options that all sounded wonderful. I went with the Santa Fe Bowl topped with salmon. What a fabulous bowl loaded with lots of flavor! It was filling and I felt great about choosing a healthy option choice. Juniper Grill has all of the elements required to become a staple in the area.The restaurant is new and it seems like the staff are trying to find their groove (dining room and kitchen). This was our second visit to the restaurant. Impressed by the manager’s proactive attentiveness and eagerness to correct... whatever oversights existed with our service. The corn bread that was served as appetizer was good, but could be enhanced with ahoney butter sauce. Made me crave for the one served by 131 Main. The other appetizer (tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole)likewise needed some improvement. In flavor. The dishes we ordered were nothing to be complaining about. We were satisfied withour dishes, but we were most impressed with the manager’s eagerness to make sure we were all happy with our dishes. Thispersonal attention elevated the whole experience! Cute restaurant with nice atmosphere. Still working out the kinks with a new establishment. Our waiter was pleasant but just a... little slow. Our appetizers came out after the meal but the manager made it right. We got a complimentary birthday treat whichwas nice. New service aside the food is amazing. Spent a very nice evening during their pre opening event. Perhaps it was just making a good first impression, but all of the... staff were very attentive and will obviously make a great team once they are established and polished. Food was fantastic and,although the drinks were a little eclectic for our taste, I definitely give them an A for effort as I can see how others willenjoy them. We will definitely return and see how the restaurant evolves over time, but I definitely recommend it for allaspects - food, service and ambience. Read more
