We stopped in at 7am when they opened before a long car trip north and are sure glad we did. These are yeasty cake doughnuts... that I was bummed to find out did not come out hot at the beginning of the day. Nonetheless, the unique flavors and greatconsistency made up for it. We got a half dozen donughts, coffee, and a BOX of water for about $26. Definitely not cheap. I wascurious about their vegan breakfast sandwich but did not try it. The flavors we got were Vanilla Iced (ghost), ChocolateSprinkles, Matcha Raspberry, Lemon Poppyseed, Bourbon Maple Cinnamon, and Mango Habanero. Honestly, the chocolate and vanillawere the best but I loved to see a spicy flavor like Mango Habanero. These seem to be the only real fancy doughnuts in SouthEnd, so give them a try! THE BEST doughnuts ever! They reign supreme over any I've had in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, or DC (I like to get... local doughnuts and coffee for breakfast when I'm visiting somewhere). The doughnut menu rotates, and they source a lot ofingredients locally. I dig the Design Center location in SouthEnd and the new spot in NoDa. Staff are friendly and professional.Service is on point. Drink menu has waaaay more options than you'll find at most doughnut joints (I recommend the nitro coldbrew and the oat milk cortado) with rotating house specials (bonus points for drinks with pun names!) that include house-mademineral water, sodas, and kombucha. We had a variety of flavors from Pepperbox at our wedding reception, and people lost theirminds, especially the out-of-towners who can't get this kind of goodness where they live. And our DOUGHNUT WEDDING CAKE (yep,that is indeed a dream you can make a reality) was gorgeous and much tastier than normal wedding cake.
