Goat pepper fry is more like shredded goat meat pepper fry with loads of black pepper, onions, and no salt at all. Look at the... picture I posted. I had also ordered kadai chicken. It doesn't taste good. The gravy base is the worst I evertasted. Unfortunately, there are no good authentic Indian restaurants in North Charlotte. Read more

The food is okay, just a quick tip if you order biryani, make sure to tell them to cook the meat properly, I went there like 4... times most of the meat wasn't well cooked. The order takes a ton of time, which might be because they might be cooking fresh,but not everyone has patience like me, to wait for 40 mins for their order. Also make sure to double check the order with yourwaiter, or some other waiter, because they are great at taking it wrong, and you don't want to wait 40 mins and just get some ofthe stuff from the menu. Anyways I thought I ordered Biryani, so maybe it might take more time to cook, but along with that Iordered starter and fresh lime soda, which as well came with the biryani, so yaa need to work on that. We used to eat here a LEAST once a week, often twice. Almost always got the buffet. The restaurant was always packed, everyone... was always so attentive and the food was the best in Charlotte. So good we drove nearly an hour to eat there instead of goingwith a closer Indian restaurant. Once covid started they closed for some time and we are deeply saddened they haven’t broughtthe buffet back. So many other restaurants have so it’s confusing as to why they haven’t. We have not been back since butpreviously it was our favorite restaurant to go to, along with our friends and family. Please bring back the weekend lunchbuffet! Read more

Went for dinner there and were utterly disappointed with the food. Among appetizers, Chicken 65 and Fish was not great, only... gobi manchurian was ok. They are supposed to be Biryani specialist per name but even that was also below average. Best part wastheir Garlic naan. We ordered takeout. The tandoori chicken was good. The hot is really hot. I would probably go with mild next time. I was... expecting the heat level to be off like some other Indian restaurants so I ordered hot expecting mild. My fault on that one. Myhusband got the chicken tikka masala. Persi's is no longer any good. We ordered garlic and butter naan, Malai kofta and gutti vankaya curry. The naans were... undercooked. The kofta was raw and the paneer inside the kofta was raw too. It felt like we were eating wet dough. Gutti vankayameans there has to be masala stuffed inside the eggplant but there was no masala in this curry. The chef just mixed tomato saucewith onions so this is just eggplant tomato curry. Nobody from Andhra will ever call this curry gutti vankaya curry. Read more

For Saturday we decided to have lunch at Persis Biryani Indian Grill. We went around 12:00pm for the lunch and the restaurant... was empty. We were greeted by our server and by reading the menu we asked for the food recommendations. For lunch we decided toorder Medhu Vada, Paneer Tikka Masala, Lacha Paratha, Persis Chicken Biryani and for drink we ordered Sweet Lassi. The servicewas good and we got our order in 10-15 mins. The lassi was good. The disappointment was paneer tikka masala. The gravy was thickand there were no edible masala. The biryani we ordered was recommended by the server that this is the best biryani of therestaurant but it was also okay. The food can be made better. Read more
