This remains my favorite pizza and Italian in Charlotte. I've been going to the one on Eastway since I moved to town in '99. I... moved to the Matthews area and have been going to the one at the arboretum lately. The food is just as excellent but I find theinside a little cramped. Not my best experience. I assume these locations are owned and operated by different management. Came in, soup of the day was... Crab bisque. Placed order. That's not the soup of the day. Unfortunately I don't eat meat and was told pasta fagouli may haveprosciutto. So declined. Ordered shrimp arribiatta for the spicy marinara. This comes with shrimp and clams. Minus shrimp dueto.allegies. handful of clams only at the same price. I will go to Indian land/arseley more than likely in the future. Customerservice is so important with these times. Food was good. I come here pretty often. But my lasts visit was disappointing highly? Our server was very rude and ignoring every... acknowledgement I was making every time they handed anything to us; I?d say thank you and they?d simply wouldn?t even speak andwalk away after handing me my food. We were waiting also for about 15/20 mins for our drinks alone cause our server was talkingto other workers or I don?t know what in the back but hasn?t showed up to our table for a good while. She got our food wrongfirst go, and didn?t apologize, but at this point I just wanted to eat and leave because of how Uncomfortable I was getting fromour waitress at this point. I was gonna complain to manager but rather do it this way. The lasts thing that was very annoying isthe fact that this waitress took 20 mins for drinks, and let me say it wasn?t very busy at all? our food came out in averagetime which isn?t the problem if she didn?t get it write our order wrong? and as soon as she dropped our food. We do not see ourwaitress for a good 30-40 mins and when I asks for the check, she obviously wanted us gone real fasts. I don?t know what theproblem was for this waitress and location that day of. But highly disappointed in how I was treated with my partner over simplytrying to get dinner. Everyone has bad days and i understand that especially in the restaurant business. we came here to celebrate my Middle Sons Birthday ... There were 9 of us and we were seated very quickly !! we ordered... Mozzarella sticks for our App and they were excellent . Perfectly cooked , with a nice crispy outer coating and delicious meltycheese inside ..The marinara was perfect as well. My salad was fresh, the lettuce crispy and the ranch was very good.. My wifeand I ordered the Lasagna and we both Were extremely happy with the flavor and portion size .. It was tough to finish it all,but I did, even though I could barely breath once done with all the delicious food...
