Wowee wow wow!! Love the food. Love the drinks. Love the atmosphere & service. Have visited 3 seperate times and each was just... as great. Everything we've tried has been amazing but some of our favs include pecan coffee, complimentary cornbread is alwaysbomb, delta benedit so unique, shrimp & grits right amount of spicy to buttery shrimpiness, and mac n chz is yummmm! I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday with a girlfriend and I have to say I am impressed! From the moment I... walked in the host greeted and seated me immediately. As soon as I sat down I was approached with two water glasses, shortlyafter my waiter Merlyn came by to ask if I needed anything. The services was the best I have ever had in North Carolina sincemoving here 2 years ago. Never had to ask for a refill they constantly were stopping by to check on us. The food was delicious Ihad the BBQ shrimp appetizer and they gave us complimentary corn bread as well which was delicious. We visited on a Saturday evening for dinner. I enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience. The waiter gave suggestions on what to get.... The drinks were awesome, and his food suggestions were on point. Lots of great items to choose from on the menu. Nice internal and external decor. Here are some items that were outstanding.... The raw oysters were very fresh with a perfect balanced flavor, I was told they were from Florida. The sides of Broccoli werecooked perfectly and top with lemon. Very good. The redfish topped with crawfish and sauce was also very tasty but may put youon the heavier side for lunch. I'm not a swordfish fan just due to my experience but this one was not overcooked and not overlysalted which had great seasoning. I could tell thr Gumbo was good but too filling for me as we over ordered. The strawberrysalad is always a great option and next time I plan to order that as a main with some protein for a healthy lunch. I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a wonderful experience. I loved the atmosphere, service, and the menu. We... had the house made pimiento cheese appetizer, the brisket with mac and cheese, and side salad, and the jambalaya. All wereterrific and the price wasn't obscene. I enjoyed Southern Pecan. The staff was great and attentive. I ate the quail for an appetizer. It was tasty and the bread... served with it was perfect. For my entree I had the chicken and dumplings. The chicken was a little dry but totally edible. I'dnever had the doughy style dumplings but they grew on me with each bite. I totally loved the dill flavor! So good! I got the country fried steak, one piece is missing cause I was splitting with my sister so it was already on her... plate. Sides were amazing! Dad got the pimento cheese burger and was very good! Mom ordered the shrimp basket and she liked it alot. Favorite restaurant in Charlotte! Love the cute dishes and silverware!!
