Food was ok. Service was inattentive. Did not get water service and had to ask for our first course plates to be cleared when... the waitress showed up with our entrees!! This was after watching the staff clear up and reset empty tables!Nobody checked in tosee how our meal was and had to ask for our water to be refilled. They had 3 selections of red wines and were out of two so youonly had one choice. I have a sweet tooth and could not get out of this place fast enough to get ice cream at Chaps which was afabulous experience. Read more
If partial points were possible, I would give a 3.7. The salmon rillette was properly seasoned and prepared. As for the crispy... Scallops, they were cooked to perfection and the crispy topping was flavorful. However, the scallops themselves lacked a bit ofsalt that would've taken them to the next level. This dish also took over 30 minutes to arrive after my appetizer. The pommepuree seemed to split resulting in a serving that was more greasy than the traditional smoothness one comes to expect from thispreparation. The lavender infused creme brulee was very flavorful and the texture was perfect with a very solid crack of thesugar top. And finally the rum old fashioned was well made and had just the level of sweetness. Read more
Fantastic restaurant! We made reservations so they already knew we were celebrating a special occasion and had a food allergy,... both of which they confirmed after we arrived. We had two cocktails, the beef bitterballen starter, steak frites and the crispyscallops (with ratatouille). Everything tasted amazing and the staff was so friendly. Everything about our experience here was top tier. To start the environment here is unlike anywhere else in town. This place is... somehow very laid back and very serious at the same time. Our server Alexa was very knowledgeable and incredibly nice. Theservice was great and very seamless. The food is outrageously good and really can't be accurately described without tasting ityourself. The Chef Chris is in my opinion the best in the area and far surpasses anything in Gordonsville I have ever had. Thesteak tartar was incredible and the cheese plate was perfectly curated. The chicken was a mix of down home comfort with big cityauthority and the quail would rival anything on any menu in town. If you want a great dinner you have to check out Brasserie. Read more
Food - 5 Atmosphere - 5 Service - 5 Value - 4 Brasserie Saison carefully crafts a seasonal menu, for their entrées and their... cocktails. Everything was phenomenal, particularly the cranberry gastrique with the spices squash and lentils. The cocktails hada delightful autumnal aroma. The atmosphere is quaint outside and intimate inside. While the portions are a bit small, loweringthe value score, they make up for it with perfect marks in service, atmosphere, and food. I’ve been several times and can’twait to come again. Read more
Had a great dinner here. Lovely decor. Good bar and tables too. Mussels were excellent and the fries may have been the best I've... ever had. Loved the steak tartar. The scallops were also very good, but could have been slightly crispier on the outside. Lovethe fresh sides (corn and tomato). Good selection of tap beers and cocktails. Very good luncheon. The muscles were exceptionally good and there were a lot of them. The french fries are perfect, crispy on... the outside and soft in the center, hot with a I saw that beats ketchup by far. All four of our group were pleased with ourmeals. Fabulous in every way. We had a sour start to our evening at another restaurant, and Alexa was determined that our evening at... her place was going to be great. And it was. Cocktails arrived promptly, and amazing appetizers arrived soon after. Our entreeswere perfect in every way. It really was rave-worthy, especially with Alexa taking care of us.
