We were really in the mood for a great cheesy pizza. You know the kind that stretches as you bite into it?? New York style in... Virginia.(we know a couple places but not in Cville) This wasn?t it. I've never had such an impressively average pizza in my life. I'm actually only leaving a review because of how noteworthy that... is. It was "fine". But my wife described it as tasting like a professionally cooked frozen pizza and I'd have to agree, exceptfor the fact that I've had numerous frozen pizza's that tasted better than what we got. Stopped in to drop off a new car to a young man who worked there and decided to stay for a late lunch. I had a spinach calzone... and my husband had a pepperoni calzone. They were delicious and everyone was very nice. Read more
This used to be one of my favorite pizza places to eat. However the last few times I was in there it did not live up to its... previous standards. Today it hit a new low. There was one person inside the building I was the only customer. The man in thebuilding had on no mask, took the cash from me gave me my change and then touched some pizza on the bar without washing theirhands. Then I watched him pick up something gross from the sink and wipe it on the same rag that he wipes his hands on aroundhis waist for pizza dough. When I got my food, the piece of pizza they used as the base slice was at least one day old (at aminimum) and what cheese was there was very old and tasted like a refrigerator. He threw my toppings on it and sprinkled alittle bit of brand new cheese in hopes that it would look better. There was no seasoning at all and it was the most bland sliceof pizza I?ve ever had even with toppings. The crust that I normally love was flimsy because the pizza had been sitting so long. I had called my order in because I was in a rush but they didn?t have it in the oven until after I got there so I still had tostand and wait for five minutes for the pizza which was cold when I got it. Good pizza place / parlor with counter service. They have pizza, calzones, and drinks; that is it. No appetizers or pasta... dishes. They sell pizza by the slice with a wide variety of toppings or you can get a whole pizza (pie if you are New Yorker orJersean). My only complaint is it was very hot in the restaurant, I guess the AC went out cause we were sweating just sittingthere, it felt better outside. Read more
Extremely generic pizza. Scrimpy on the toppings and just not very good. The guy behind the counter was super nice and friendly... and I feel bad leaving a bad review, but I just can't recommend this place. Read more
