We would not return. It seemed something may have been going on With the staff lots of discussion's happening. No real greeting... when we arrived and nobody in the restaurant for customers. (A sign) We were told to scan and look on-line to order. We foundthis odd and asked her to take our order verbally. The street noodles and chili chicken were very salty and not much else forflavor.they had no white rice ( a staple of Indian cuisine) we had to have brown. We ordered mild spice level to be safe, butexpected some chili heat or flavoring. We can cook it at home a lot better. Our nan and Dahl makhani we?re good. We had highhopes for the Nepali food and it was disappointing. Mono?s yak and chicken were just ok. Bathrooms could be cleaner and youngboy (staffs) playing on his video games laying down at table around the corner was not professional. Read more
Awesome food!! Probably the best food I ever had in Virginia. We went there in a group. We tried chicken biryani, Chicken Momo,... and samosa. Chicken biryani and samosa was perfect! There is some room for improvement in momo, but still it was good. Theatmosphere of the restaurant was very cozy. Service was great. I will definitely go back if I ever get a chance. Edit: I wentthere for second time. Everything was awesome like always. MoMos were delicious. Customer service was brilliant. MoMo acharcrossed all the boxes, just phenomenal. As a Hokie, I am jealous of Wahoo having this restaurant at their town. Pro tip: Askfor momo achar for your biryani if you want your biryani spicy. Read more
Thoroughly impressed! Incredible depth of flavors, high spicy level options, and perfect preparation across all dishes. Himalaya... demonstrates a mastery over the textures - the pastry shell of the samosas were crispy on the outside and soft/doughy on theinside, and the potatoes in the vindaloo were delightfully soft, which is impressive considering how long it can take to getthem that way. Great service and value as well. I just can?t pick out anything I didn?t like about Himalaya. This is going to beour new regular spot! Read more
Had an early dinner tonight outside. I am passing through the area so I am not familiar with the local covid restrictions but I... assume indoor dining is not allowed. Our server sat us outside and we placed an order and paid directly from my phone. Servicewas fast and friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful, portions were a good size. Read more
Date of visit 7/27/19 This is the only place I know who serves YALK MOMO (dumplings which is quite popular in Nepal especially... in Himalayan region). Papadam (check one of the picture) is really good with the green sauce . This is the 9th time I have beento this place and my order has always been the same : MOMO plus CHOWMIN (try the yalk momo) Time of entering this venue: 5:26pm Time of order: 5:28 pm . Lucky we got in so fast. Time of delivery : 5:41 pm of chowmin (MEE GORENG). Slightly salty andoily. You can customize it and request for less salty and less oily ones. But ask for chicken chowmin. It is just so good. Timeof delivery : 5:48 of yalk momo . It comes with spicy sauce and 10 pieces. It taste like dumpling with a soup inside Because ittakes such a long time to make authentic nepali / Himalayan food ( and it is so good) I have waited for an hour for this amazingfood. Read more
I love the lunch buffet here. This is my go to lunch spot for lunch whenever I come to Charlottesville. The wait staff David,... Murtaza and Moon always greet you with a smile and are very kind and helpful. The food is delicious with different dishes in themenu for different days of the week. Chicken curry on Wednesday, chilli fish on Monday etc.. Definitely recommend!! Read more
The food at Himalayan Fusion is without fail off the charts delicious. You can eat in their dining room which has a couple of... great murals or you can pick it up to eat at home. (It may be available on delivery services as well. But I haven't looked forit there so I don't know). It feels like a family restaurant, so don't expect formal table service. It's very casual. I feellike this is a place that is overlooked for how great the fare is. Read more
