Lumpia was very good. Would recommend it.\n\nThe BBQ pork was simply okay. The rice it was served with was substandard: cold,... clumpy, random hard grains. Not a great texture. Read more

I?ve... been fortunate enough to live in LA, DC, and NYC and have overall access to decent Filipino food; however, despite all of theFilipino food I?ve eaten over the years, Manila Street in Charlottesville, VA takes the cake for the best Filipino food I?veever had (just don?t tell my mom!).\n\nManila Street is owned by Fernando and his family who immigrated from the Philippines toCharlottesville over thirty years ago; I had a feeling that the restaurant would be special when I saw Fernando?s parentsdiligently preparing everything earlier in the morning. I stuck to my roots and ordered pancit (noodles), pork belly sisig,lumpia (egg rolls), and of course fluffy white rice. The food was incredibly authentic, delicious, and reminded me of my mom?shome cooking, but better (again, sorry Mom).\n\nNow that I have family living in Charlottesville, I look forward to coming heremore often and get my Filipino fix.
