Great food an awesome selection of toppings also.
The pizza is definitely decent but it is far from the best around. They were expensive (medium specialty, gluten free specialty... and a side of ranch came out to 39 dollars before tip for take out). The ranch has Celery seed in it which is a weird thing toout in ranch. I noticed they may have had 20ish out of what looks to be 50 tapes in use. They place could use some deep cleaningand some lighting upgrades. It's good for the college kids. Read more
I?m addicted to mellow mushroom pizza. Anytime I see a mellow mushroom, I have to stop. This was a great experience with awesome... service and three incredible pizza pies. Here?s my honest local guide review! Definitely one of the best pizza places around. It?s a small chain with restaurants mostly... in college towns. The Charlottesville Mellow can certainly be busy with students and hospital staff during the academic year.The food is always outstanding. My go-to items are the Mega Veggie pizza, the house salad with the fantastic Esperanza dressing,or the Tempeh hoagie. All fabulous and I?ve been eating them for years. Mellow?s crust is unique with a Parmesan dusting.Recently since I started ordering online more I realized that I have way more topping options than I knew. So this time I gotthe BBQ tofu, pineapple, and caramelized onions. So good! I also realized I have the choice of jerk tofu and Buffalo tofu aswell. I?ll try them next on a pizza or hoagie. I recently had the brownie and it was warm and yummy even after delivery. In thepast I have had the gluten free crust and it was great too. The one downside to this location is there is very little outdoorseating and it?s on a very loud and busy road. Bottom line you can?t go wrong with Mellow! Read more
Great service and great food! I would definately recommend eating here if o are in the area. We ate on $5 one topping Tuesday... and the single was so large me and my wife could have shared one instead of ordering two. For $10, we got more than we couldeat. Read more
