While we were quite disappointed that the waffles were not available, we had a delightful waitress, and enjoyed our brunch of... quiche and farm table sandwich. Accompanied by a mimosa and Bloody Mary and an apple cinnamon scone. Eating on their coveredpatio was delightful. Service was quick and friendly. Read more

This is a really cozy environment to either grab a bite to eat or meet up with people to chat over coffee. The food is really... delicious, and it is generally worth the higher costs. While you can expect to pay more here than an average diner, it reallydelivers in terms of quality of food and attention to detail with the experience of eating. The service is always friendly, notin a rush to move you along, so you can linger a while. The only drawback is that the space is limited, so on busy days/times,it can be hard to get it. Also, I've heard it can be a little tricky to spot from the road. So, look for this little gem tuckedback off the street a bit, and I think you will be pleased. Read more

I made a reservation two weeks ago for my birthday brunch and travelled into town to specifically go here. Upon our arrival, the... hostess stated they called me that morning to let me know my reservation was cancelled because they decided to close early. Theemployee who told my friends and I that they were closing was completely rude and unempathetic that we now had to figure out adifferent place to eat. We had to call several other places to try to be fit in and everywhere was booked already. It wascompletely unprofessional to operate a business this way and I would never go back. They offered no compensation or suggestionof where to go in Charlottesville after our plans were ruined. Read more

We were staying at Oakhurst inn so decided to stop by here on a snowy spring morning. The caramel macchiato and chai latte were... great. I am allergic to eggs but my partner said the quiche was very good. I had the blueberry muffin which was the best I’vehad in a while. Good service and nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Wonderful Sunday brunch with grand marnier french toast and eggs! We appreciated the requirement for reservation and didn’t... feel overcrowded in the intimate dining rooms. Clean, attractive interior with homey feel. Read more

I had the waffles ($10) with Orange Curd, Grand Marnier Chantilly Cream, Maple Syrup. The waffles were not thick Belgium... waffles. They were the thin ones. The orange curd was nice but the whipped cream did not taste of Grand Marnier. The house ispretty with lots of windows. We also had the Farm Sandwich ($13). It was good. The lattes were plain but tasty. Read more

Food was good. Coffee was trash. Food: The Farm Sandwich and the Waffles were delicious. I was worried that the sandwich would... be too heavy when I read the ingredients, but it was well made, well-portioned, and well-balanced. I would recommend that or thewaffles if you’re feeling the sweeter side that morning. I didn’t get the garlic fries but someone else got them and theysmelled soo good - I’d definitely try them. Coffee: I was disappointed. I’m a coffee lover and was excited to see that thisplace called itself an espresso bar. Sadly, the coffee that I got tasted terrible, and the milk started curdling inside thedrink until it completely separated. I had to ask them to take it back. I took a picture earlier, but didn’t want to share thephoto after the coffee sat there for 2 mins because it looked gross. Overall, I wouldn’t come with high expectations for thecoffee, but the food is good. Interesting, antique ambiance and outdoor seating available. Read more

Food was wonderful. Huge portions, unique and bold flavors. Dinning area was spaced out for social distancing, but a little odd... (one table was right next to both the back door and the service station, which made it gratingly loud so we moved). Service wasfast, albeit slightly rushed. The coffee was decent. Wouldn’t call it craft coffee, more like coffee shopcoffee. Enjoyable, and we will be back next time we’re in town. Also, if you prefer to eat outside, call ahead as thosetables are reserved. We just walked in and sat inside with no wait on a Sunday mid morning. Read more
