This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants I've been to! The food is so good and fresh! I'm very sad. I don't live... anywhere near this restaurant. But if I ever visit Charlottesville I will be sure to come back here! I have found a new love forTurkish street food and will be on the hunt to hopefully find something of this restaurants quality. Went in there for the first time to try the food and I ordered the one where you customize the pita bread sandwich and it really... hit the spot! The food tasted great! We stopped here on a whim after not seeing anything appealing nearby and it was a great success. I?ve never had Turkish cuisine... but anything under the Mediterranean umbrella is always a go for me. I had a build your own beef bowl with a little bit ofeverything. The beef was really flavorful, the ingredients were fresh and the tzatziki sauce was on point. Also surprisingly thefries are better than most burger joints I?ve been to. On top of having great food the staff were both very friendly andthanked us for stopping by. Delicious food made fresh daily. Loved the choices. Don't miss the rosemary fries which are fun to dip in the sauces. Plenty... of seating in the restaurant. Enjoyed the bonus of a chat with one of the owners. A delightful experience! Read more
Amazing Turkish food!!! My husband and I wanted to try something new as we were strolling along downtown Charlottesville, versus... having the same old stuff so we came to Otto to try Turkish cuisine for the first time. Ali, was super friendly as he greeted uswaking in. He asked if this was our first time in and he kindly guided us on his menu. I picked a bowl and my husband a pita, weeach tried one of their meats and both were delicious. The salad bowl I had was fresh with amazing vegetables and homemadedressings. They have vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options as well. Their rosemary fries as a side and their homemade baklavafor dessert are a must! We also appreciated the Turkish paintings, printed canvas and traditional Turkish music playing in thebackground to compliment the experience. This place is awesome! The food was really good (I got a bowl and it was like a healthier and tastier version of chipotle)! The... owner, Ali, is a really kind guy who I could tell wanted to do whatever he could to make sure I had a good experience. If you'rewondering if it's worth the stop, go! This is one of the places you can eat healthy food. My wife and me had Combo Efes that comes with Mixed Greens, Hummus, Red... Cabbage Salad, Sumac Onions, Bean Salad, Beet Salad( Contains Walnuts), Falafel, Chicken, Vegan Tahini. We are not heavy eaters,one dish was enough for both of us. Their Falafel is homemade!!!
