Reviews for Sakura in Charlottesville, VA
Visiting in town and staying nearby. This place seemed busy every time we drove by so I wanted to try it. Sat at the bar -... excellent drinks, friendly staff, and sushi came out quickly and was excellent. Great spot, highly recommended! Read more
Food was Amazing! Service was Impeccable. I felt okay dining in, even with the pandemic still lurking.
Delicious food. Pleasant staff. Enjoyed watching the chef prepare the food at the grill.
Nice place, very tasty and flavored food great drinks, but I'm complaining about the servers and staff that where busy checking... their cells phones Read more
Food was great, service was lousy. Waited forever for our waitress to bring us refills on our drinks. Perhaps understaffed but... saw other people just hanging around and not helping. Our chef was great. Had to wait on our seafood as the gentleman they satat our table had a seafood allergy. So it had to be cooked after EVERYTHING else had been cooked. Would have been nice to havebeen given extra since we all had to wait. The noodles I could have done with out. They were very sweet tasting. Everything elsetasted wonderful. Was visiting the area, would go back again. Read more

What I came for: I had a hankering for sushi, but didn?t want to spend too much on it. I also wanted to feel full after eating... it for the price I paid. I had never been to Sakura before, but decided to give it a try. What I Got: Spicy California Roll,Spicy Crunch Shrimp roll, Avocado Roll My Experience: Highly Recommend. Overall, I was very impressed with the sushi here. Itwas made fresh in front of you, very chill ambiance, and safety precautions taken. The restaurant is hibachi-style (thinkBenihana). They give 8 pieces per roll, which is substantial for the price ($4-$6 per roll), especially compared to other sushiplaces in the area. 2 rolls is definitely enough to get you full. The spice in both rolls was understated, so if you?re not intospice, it will taste delicious. If you want something with more kick to where you feel the spice, it might not be for you. Theygive you a nice serving of soy sauce, which you won?t need much of because the taste of the salt really comes throughstrong. Tip: I would order ahead for pickup to cut down on the wait time, though. Read more
We took our 7 year old for his first teppan experience and he loved it. Service and all staff were wonderful and the food... portions were enormous, but the chef went way overboard on the soy/salt content. Read more
