Honestly, this place is top notch. I don’t know what you all expect when you call in an order to a Chinese restaurant, but... they don’t even ask your name - they trust that you will come for what you order because it is delicious. Cold sesame noodlesare definitely underrated and are what one could only classify as “dank”. We have never had anything bad from thisrestaurant. My lo mein was not lo mein it was thin spaghetti noodles. I ordered combination lo mein, otherwise good flavor.
Have a great selection of american chinese food. Big and fresh chunks of veggies, which is my marker of a good place. I had the... hunan chicken, schezuan beef, and kung pao chicken. All delicious. The wonton soup broth tastes scratch made, which wasimpressive. Read more
I don’t know what happened with some of y’all, but I lived in Cville for two years (2019-2021) and I ordered a lunch or... dinner special religiously from Yuan Ho, sometimes more than twice a week, and never had any complaints. In fact, their GeneralTso’s chicken & sesame chicken are so consistently good that I can’t order either of those things from any Chineserestaurant in my new city, because every single one is so much worse than Yuan Ho— and that’s saying something. My food wasalways hot, crispy, juicy, delicious— so good that I didn’t even consider ordering anything else. Service was prompt andpolite. I can’t speak for most of the other dishes on the menu, but my vegetarian roommate at the time always ordered theEggplant Tofu (at least once a week) and also loved it. I’d suggest going during a time when they’re not overwhelmed withother orders, but as I say— I ate there at various times of day more than once a week for 2 years, and I was neverdisappointed. I miss Yuan Ho so much that I often think about driving back to Cville just to get lunch, and it’s 3 hours awaynow. 5 stars for awesome food, I’m just sad I don’t live around the corner anymore :( Read more
I ordered Hunan Chicken Dinner Special and General Tso Chicken dinner Dinner. My fried rice was dry and tasted old like it was... from the previous day. Hunan Chicken had very little flavor and no spice. The General Tso had about 6 pieces of chicken andmajority broccoli. Definitely won’t be returning! Read more
