Welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The library itself is comfortable and charming, especially the fireplace room. ... Terrific range of books and media. Truly a gem. Read more

The local government seems to have forgotten about the library. The building has problems with humidity and water liking. For a... library that's death sentence. Overall, it is a beautiful historical building! Read more

Traditional public library in a cool building, which includes a section just for kids.

NOT KID FRIENDLY. Extremely rude and unaccommodating. I rarely post reviews, but felt I had to for this place. They have a no... stroller policy, yet they have a children?s section and children?s event...biggest oxymoron ever. Anyone who has little kids(especially pre-walking) knows how much you use a stroller inside and outside of places. I pack EVERYTHING in my stroller frommilk to diaper cream, extra clothes, etc. They do not let strollers in the library. I wanted to take my daughter to an eventat the library for her first time in Chatham. I did not want to empty my entire stroller, leave it outside UNATTENDED, carryboth my baby and multiple bags all around the library. They must not have kids because anyone who does would know how terriblea policy that truly is. You should really revisit your policy. I have never been to a library that doesn?t let strollersinside. Terrible people. Read more

Good selection. Quiet, as a library should be. Great staff. Public computers. Sale books and free magazines. If it's a rainy day... or if you need to get out of the sun go to the library! Read more

This is my favorite library on Cape Cod. The building is gorgeous and historical. The book selection is varied and large. The... staff is always so friendly and helpful. Plus they have a bin where you can take and leave magazines and they have special freebook areas, and also a book sale going all the time in the basement. Parking can be a little hard in summer but Chatham is alovely place so a short walk is quite enjoyable. Highly recommend this library! Read more
