I recently came here with a friend of mine and we were both trying it for the first time. He got the chicken sandwich and I got... a four piece fried chicken (white meat) and catfish with hush puppies. My friend thought the chicken sandwich was the best hehad ever tried and miles better than any fast food places that offered it. All the chicken we got was perfectly juicy and friedto perfection, all I can say is excellent. I did joy the catfish and the cornmeal crusted it had was a little hard but stillgreat. The mac & cheese was very good and the fries were amazing. The cornbread was extremely good and went amazing with thehoney they offered. I really enjoyed having lunch here. I felt like I was eating at my aunt's house. The extra spicy fried chicken was crispy,... juicy, and the seasoning was spot on with the heat to spice flavor ratio. Excellent little spot for lunch or dinner. The staff ladies are extremely friendly and are happy to explain the menu to you. My favorites have to be the smothered chicken. Even the rice it comes with is cooked to perfection, with a flavorthat will have you asking for seconds. The chicken is perfect and the gravy is simply the best. I suggest Cajun popcorn orpopcorn chicken to start. It hurts to say, but this was the most REGRETTABLE food experiences I've had. My family is against letting food go to waste- if... no one wants it, at least let our dog or cats have it - but we ended up throwing out all the sides to the trash.
