Authentic and delicious. Wonderful short ribs and chicken soup with pumpkin. Ginger drinks are tasty and refreshing. Not a place... for atmosphere, but great food. Very patient with new customers. Two people working at the time..there hustling on a busy Sunday. Call in your order ahead of time they make it fresh. I ordered... the Taye's fav goat curry and Jerk chicken. The dishes come with side rice and beans, one plantain, one small sweet cinnamonbread and cabbage mix with veggies. Every bite was delicious. The goat curry was a lil too salty for my taste. Too expensive ! The menu doesnt show prices so please ask before you order lest you are taken aback at the big bill total ! If a... Caribbean restaurant doesn't have good jerk chicken its just plain sad. The quality of the meats is not bad but the Jerk chickenwas dry and no flavor of jerk seasoning. The goat stew was ok. Portions and flavors definitely don't match a $44 bill on 2plates of mediocre food. While we do want to support small, local businesses in these tough times its tough to come back to ahole in the wall restaurant if flavors, quality and prices don't match up. Read more
Worst Jamaican restaurant ever. First of all, they?re restroom is out of service. Second of all, one beef patty shouldn?t cost... $4.50 so I didn?t buy one. I ordered a jerk pork meal which was way too salty and so dry I couldn?t even chew it. The cabbagewas way too soft, it like they cooked it and then reheated it up later so it was over cooked. I also ordered a jerk chickenWINGS meal. When I opened the box, they put jerk chicken leg and thigh inside. I gave it back and told them I ordered wings andthat?s when they gave us the chicken wings. I also ordered a side of oxtails which cost $12.65 and when I opened the box theyput 5 small pieces of oxtail inside. They said a side of oxtail is only 5 pieces hahaha. Now that?s a RIP OFF.. I told themthat?s not worth $12.65 so I wanted a refund. They said they can?t authorize refunds so they have to call the boss so I waited.Finally they gave me $12.25 back. Didn?t even get the full refund back nor did I get the tax that I paid on it. I also ordered aside of jerk chicken to take home and these people make Jamaicans look bad. They couldn?t even make a good jerk chicken. It wasburnt and had no flavor. Guys, please please please don?t waste your time or money here. This is not how Jamaican Food issupposed to taste? Food is very good and you get a good serving size for the money. Its authentic Jamaican food and the menu has a lot of options.... Great stuff. Went back for another meal and the spot is still great. Got a prepared to order coconut curry fish. It was sooooogood. Really good good at good prices here. Read more
I have been here twice to pick up food for doordash and they have both been super negative experiences. The first time I went... there was a guy mopping and it smelled bad like he was cleaning with a dirty mop but I was like whatever it?s none of mybusiness. He gave me such a dirty look like it disturbed him that I was there. Then the girl that gave me the order gave wasrude too. Like I?m working to take your food to your customer. The second time was today again i don?t know if they don?t likeHispanics going into their establishment or what. But the girl that gave me the order rolled her eyes at me and gave meattitude. I won?t be picking up orders there or recommending anyone to that place. I don?t know what their deal is. Read more
