Food is pretty good, but the service is subpar. We were the first customers in, yet the waitress only came to our table about... three times. When I asked about a dish for dessert, she said that she thought it may be out for the day, but didn't go back tofind a definite answer. Then when I gave her my card for the bill, she chatted with her coworker, drank her personal beverage,and waited on another table before finally running my card. I was born and raised in Chattanooga, and last night Boccaccia became my favorite restaurant. There is no better authentic... Italian in the area. The service was the best I have had anywhere. The owner went table to table, welcoming and talking toguest. You just don?t get this kind of experience at restaurants anymore. Make a reservation and go to this restaurant; you willnot regret it. Had a reservation, walked in and they took about 5 minutes to acknowledge us standing in the doorway. When they did approach us... and asked for our name and the lady said they must not have written it down on their list, she told us to wait a moment so shecould see where to seat us. At this moment we glanced around the dining room where there were three people seated in anotherwise empty dining room. After waiting about 10 minutes with no response from anyone and not a glance our way we decided toleave to try somewhere else. This restaurant has a cozy vibe and very friendly staff. I had veal for the first time in years and it was amazing!!!! I... literally cleaned my plate because everything was so good. Their bruschetta and pasta was also very tasty. Not to expensiveeither so highly recommend. Read more
Very busy but wonderful discovery for us. Reservations can be done online/phone with prompt confirmations and are strongly... recommended. A bit off the beaten path but persistence will be well rewarded. The daily special was not on the menu and wasmeticulously prepared: grilled to order salmon served over spinach and grilled potatoes. Vegetarian options are easily availablein several pasta options. The rigatoni is a must have. If it is the day of your birthday the free entree and desert are aspecial bonus. Read more
This dimly lit, leaning more to modern Italian restaurant has some of the best handmade pasta I've had since moving to... Chattanooga. My wife and I were able to escape our kids, (thank you babysitter!) which the atmosphere deserves some description.Dimly lit with candles dark decor, quiet and romantic atmosphere we were able to enjoy our time once we got through a smallwait. On to the food! - The bolognase is a must try. We ordered another helping of it to go, I enjoyed it that much. The drinkswere delicious I enjoyed a dirty gin martini. Our waiter and the other wait staff around were all friendly and helpful whichalways helps. The calimari was tender, hot and perfectly cooked. My veal scallopini was also tender & delicious. The tiramisuleft a little to be desired which is the only reason i gave 4 stars i would have given 4.5 if possible. Tiramisu should bespongey not; the way it was. We will be back for certain; the food, the staff all made this my 2nd favorite Italian restaurantin Chattanooga... thank you! Read more
Excellent food and atmosphere! I had the spinach and cheese ravioli, which was absolutely delicious. The service was a little... slow, but it gave me time to finish an after dinner coffee. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Read more
Enjoyed a winded dinner at Boccaccio. It is smaller so I suggest making reservations. We didn?t have a problem getting one same... day. The lasagna is amazing and sells out. Our services was so helpful. Read more
