I have not been here in years. They open at 11:30, very nice small covered patio with a nice view. Prices are pretty typical... for downtown. Watch for listed up charges on the menu, like the egg drop soup is an additional four dollars. However it wasthe best egg drop soup I ever had and was amazing. Chicken was great compared to other places. Whole meal was excellent withgood service. If you are craving this type of food I would not hesitate to drop in. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Nabe. The staff from top to bottom were so attentive and you could tell they truly cared if... you were enjoying yourself. The environment is so perfect for a local sushi spot. The beef dumplings were SO good! All of oursushi was very fresh and of high quality. We highly recommend the Blue Ridge roll! We would be honored to return?? Read more

Enjoyed a date night and awesome service at Sushi Nabe! My husband had sashimi, sushi, and fried jumbo calamari. I had the... teriyaki chicken, and their homemade teriyaki is so yummy! We sat outside on the patio during a unusually warm March evening. We?ll definitely be back. Read more

Delightful experience!! My husband wrote this following review: Sushi Nabe - Chattanooga, TN Date of visit: 09/18/2021 Sushi... Nabe is located north of the Tennessee River at 110 River Street in Chattanooga, TN. We arrived around 6 PM. We were advised ofa 20 minute wait. The time passed quickly as we surveyed our surroundings. The first thing that caught my attention was a largecabinet filled with small numbered colored boxes. Our hostess informed me that they contained chopsticks belonging to many oftheir customers. They opened the restaurant about 27 years ago and have since accumulated several thousand pairs of personalizedchopsticks as a sort of customer loyalty program. When we were escorted into the dining area we passed an impressive display ofSamurai armor. We were seated in front of the sushi bar where we could watch our meal being prepared. Our server?s name wasTaizo. He normally worked the bar, but due to an unexpected staff shortage he was filling in where ever he could. Some peopleare not cut out for working under these circumstances. However, Taizo demonstrated that he was well able to handle the kitchen, the sushi bar, the drinks and wait tables with zeal. He patiently explained the menu to us and delivered our meals with speedand grace. We enjoyed the Sashimi Deluxe, the Godzilla Roll, salads, miso soup, Sapporo Lite beer and two orders of hot peachSake. As we ate it occurred to me that this didn?t feel like a typical restaurant experience at all. I felt as if I had beeninvited into someone?s home to enjoy their culture and hospitality. It felt refreshingly normal in context of the abnormal timesin which we live. After the meal we briefly chatted with Taizo. The man working at the sushi bar is his father. The womanassembling the take-out and waiting tables is his mother. Sushi Nabe is not a franchise. It is a family owned and operatedbusiness. I don?t know when we will be back to visit Chattanooga, but I do know that when we do there will Read more

While we are only in Chattanooga for our anniversary I can say a safe bet for good Japanese food is Sushi Nabe. With a quaint... atmosphere and an impressive drink menu I highly suggest the beef gyoza since it has a nice kick. If you have the mouth for itthe Hollywood roll is good if rather large and rice-less. The veggie entree is fabulous even people who like meat should def tryit with a lovely little cucumber roll. The variety of sushi is impressive and well made with a nice ratio between ingredientsand a myriad of sauces to dip with and any sushi that fits your fancy will be here. Read more
