An $18 goat cheese salad came in a tiny bowl with a fruit compote (of sorts) with no dressing or goat cheese. It was terribly... prepared. I asked for goat cheese (assuming it would be a nice slice of good cheese and instead was given a small metal dressingcontainer with a small amount of cheap goat cheese sprinkles. It was awful! The last time we went, we ordered the burger with nobun and a side salad. The burger was maybe 1/8th if a pound with a lettuce leaf on the side with a measly tomato and nodressing. Cute place and should be amazing but food is awful and not worth the price. Read more

No wait perfect table inside on the porch windows facing Bestor Plaza. Shrimp and grits very tasty mimosa to start very good... too! Belgian waffle ok bacon and syrup on the side presentation could have been better; fruit or garnish of some kind maybe asprig of mint. Read more

This was absurdly bad—waited 45 minutes to get appetizer and it was inedible (restaurant wasn’t crowded). Then waited some... more and finally paid for drinks and left. Restaurant needs a manager desperately. Read more

This is my favorite restaurant at The Chautauqua Institution. The food is great, they can go fast if you need to catch a... concert, and everyone I have encountered that works there is friendly. Read more

Had a wonderful dinner with my husband, son and his fiance. We started with fine wine, the brussel sprouts and the blood orange... salad. All selections were fabulous. For entrees, the guys had the scallops; they said the BEST scallops they've ever had ( bothhave eaten scallops all over the country)! I had the smash burger with fries - delicious! Son's fiance had the veggie pasta andshe loved it. 2 Ames was a great dining experience all around. Try it; you won't be disappointed! Read more

Very nicely prepared dishes, but a quirky atmosphere, no bread service, no crushed red pepper. Both would have been delicious... with the well prepared tagliatelle with wild mushrooms…prices seem high, but the food is good. The burger on the bar lookedgreat, but we spotted that on the way out. Great addition to the Institute! Love coming to listen to the live jazz music. Food is also really yummy. I always get the... triple cooked fries or oxtail poutine and what ever daily special they have. The Chautauquans that own this establishment arevery personable and take their time to get to know their guests. Definitely a home-y and friendly vibe. If you like good wine, this is the place to go. So many different options to try. Can’t wait to see their approach to serving the community duringCOVID-19. I know I’ll be looking forward to some good curbside pickup with my favorite wine. Ps. The house wine is aMontepulciano. It’s good and at a great price point. Read more
