Visiting our friends in S. Portland, Me. We took the local ferry, fifteen minute ride to Chebeague Island. Easy ride up to the... Chebeague Inn on the hill. from the shuttle of the Inn. They knew we were arriving from the ferry due to our lunch reservation.Fabulous. Convenient. Quaint old style inn. Menu was terrific. My wife and I had fish sandwich with fries. Large piece of fishin the sandwich. I also had a local beer Allagash White--yummy. The ambiance and views from eating on the porch. I was impressedthat our waiter Mate was professional. expedient, courteous , and friendly. There was a large company group luncheon on the lawnbelow us ( Spectrum): yet great service. Highly recommend this restaurant. Read more

Short motor from Portland. Grab one of the yellow guest moorings #41-45 - there's a launch We went for lunch but ended up at... Sunday brunch. Limited choices on the menu. I ended up with a Caesar salad - fair. It's the atmosphere & location that's thedraw so there's that. Call for the launch & shuttle van to get you to the inn. Read more

My wife and I had a delightful, relaxing 5 night stay. The Inn is charming, with excellent service, a tasty menu and a glorious... wrap around porch that overlooks beautiful sunsets over Casco Bay. The Inn has bicycles to get around the island and a funlooking 9 hole golf course. The island offers an old-fashioned, laid back Maine atmosphere with little to do but explore thebeaches and get away from daily stress. The Inn did receive some poor reviews, but having stayed at the Inn, I think that thesereflect missed expectations. The bedrooms are small, clean, and cosy. If you are looking for air conditioning, television, phones, "microwaves for leftovers" or "minibars for alcohol", you will be disappointed. If, on the other hand, you enjoy fallingasleep to the sound of crickets and owls, you will have found your spot! Read more

Last year we took my visiting daughter & granddaughter for dinner and there nothing positive about the experience. We decided... not to return. We were hesitant to take our daughter & son in-law to dinner this year but what a difference a year makes. Thefood & service were A+. Have been several times since and everything was wonderful. Ok, if you are looking for modern, do not go to this Inn...because its a beautiful throw back to Grand that sits on an... Island. Don't ask about internet which I am sure they have. Take in the setting, the sunset, the food, the comfort, the quiet, the Ocean, the Beaches, the beauty. Their is a catch, it is not cheap, nor is the experience. Read more

There for a wedding and it was a beautiful place for a wedding! Staff was pretty good with a few exceptions, but it was HOT and... without AC or great window fans it was hard to stay cool in the rooms, even at night. Otherwise good weekend. Read more

Definitely not our cup of tea. Room was warm and uncomfortable (no a/c). No fridge for all our alcohol and no microwave for our... leftovers. Pretty noisy while we were in our room and it just seemed very disorganized and unwelcoming since we stepped into theinn (except our waitress for dinner). Very overpriced for what it was. My partner set it up for our anniversary and he was notpleased. Read more

We biked to this in and were impressed with the grounds and beautiful view out over the water. The large porch is perfect for... outdoor dining. I ordered the Caesar salad with lobster and it was quite good and ample. The hubs ordered the fried fishsandwich. He compared it to a crab cake, round and pieced together with a somewhat heavy fried taste. He liked it! A nice, relaxing place with very good service. Read more
