My meal was beyond satisfying! Grilled to perfection, each bite was a dream come true!! I gave this restaurant 3 stars for the... service. Not once did the waiter come by to check on me. I had to ask for extra water, and etc two times. Unacceptable. I alwaystip everywhere I dine in at. I never eat out without tipping, ever! This was the first time I didn?t leave a tip. With thatbeing said, I still recommend dining in or take out at this particular location. Will I return, yes. Only for take out. Read more

I ordered Chili Relleno's. Which were not my favorite I have had, but they were ok. We also ordered a side of guacamole and... queso. Both were excellent! We also ordered Medium margaritas on the rocks. They were wonderful. They did rim with somethingother than margarita salt, but I drank the margaritas with a straw, so it was ok. Having just moved here, I am excited to finda good Mexican Restaurant nearby. My husband enjoyed his Taco al Pastor, but you will have to see his review. He thought theywere perfect. Adding to this post. We went back to El Jarocho this past Friday and I had the steak street tacos. While theywere pretty good I did end up asking for some Pico de Gallo because I thought they needed a bit more heat. Maybe I just like myfood a bit more spicy than most. Not sure. Read more

On my way to Laredo parked at the truckstop across the road. Very VERY pleasantly surprised by the food after the initial... appearance of the small shack that was very packed and was serving the Drive-thru. I wish I wasn't that tired after a 70h weekand my Spanish was better... Anywho I got the Ceviche and El Campeon Steak. Normally I wipe off any seafood and end up with leftover meat to bring along doggybag... Not this time! That thin grilled steak with fat trimmings and chorizo was seasoned andcooked to perfection. The Modelo with salt and lime in a frosted mug were a delight too. Very happy I stopped and I hope Ididn't seem rude because I couldn't understand my server at first. (Awkward) Read more

The food was excellent, I haven't had Mexican food since my mom's cooking but I think this place just replaced her.
