The baked penny is still yummy after all these years.
Ordered food for Christmas eve and was very unsatisfied. We got rude service on the phone and the food was bland. Chicken parm... was lacking all taste. When we went to pick up our catering order that was basically all poultry the woman inside was rude andCausing a fuss because her community she wants to thrive in actually orders food from the restaurant and she has to offercustomer service. For Italian food this is a dollar store version. I try to support local small businesses because its what ournations built off of but this was a very sad supper. I was craving Italian food and Amici's didn't disappoint!!!! I had the Penne Bolognese and it was delicious. My friends had the... chicken Alfredo and the chicken marsala and I tasted those as well....both fantastic. Food came out hot and fresh. The staffwas super friendly and Frank was a great waiter! Decided to try this place for take out on a Friday night, so disappointed. Ordered chicken, broccoli and penne. The broccoli... was so over cooked that it lost all of it’s color, taste & texture. Not made to order, and looked like it was sitting in awarmer all night. The chicken was cut in large oddly shaped over cooked chunks. Cheese garlic bread was soggy wrapped in foilso the cheese stuck to the foil. Veal parmigiana sub was dry and chewy in a soggy roll. Very dissatisfied. One meal was good,but nothing special -the tortellini with broccoli which was not over cooked. Read more
I wanted to try this place for a while ever since I moved to Chelmsford. I read reviews and decided to give them a shot. I got... chicken broccoli & ziti in a garlic wine sauce with a side of garlic bread to go. It looked good until i tried it. It was themost bland tasting garlic wine sauce I've ever had and the chicken had absolutely no flavor either! I tried to eat at least halfbecause I spent $20 on it but couldn't even do it. I wound up just picking the broccoli out and eating the garlic bread. Itseems like a lot of people mention the portion size for why it was a good place to go...if it isn't good that's just a lot offood to through away! I might have got them on a bad day but consistency is key if you want good reviews and repeat customers. Iwill not be trying them again to find out! Read more
Great people very friendly. Food is phenomenal with huge portions enough for 2 meals. Clean interior. Definitely under looked... and a hidden gem. Thank you for remaining open during pandemic. Read more
