I often enjoyed this restaurant several years ago but something has changed. The coconut soup was very bland, and the rice was... lumpy and inconsistently combined with the spices. The most disappointing was the lamb curry; there were "off" flavors to thelamb that reminded me of long frozen or old meat. Since I was eating in my van, (the cashier could earn better tips by providingtable service) after consuming about a quarter of my food I took it back inside. One of the worse ?Authentic? Indian restaurants in the area. Food was subpar with lack of care on even simply the rice. Thai tea... was nearly milk water. Total meal of curry lamb and butter chicken is a unfortunate deterrent from my favorite foods. Read more

Mughal Palace truly deserves the 5 star rating and all the amazing things said about them. Food is excellent, portions are... large, the owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. Central Maine is incredibly lucky to have such a gem. Support them sothey can continue cooking for this region! Read more

The food is absolutely delicious! We get takeout regularly and the whole family enjoys it. Our 7-year-old requests this food... above anything else. We usually get the chicken curry and the fried vegetarian sampler. I really appreciate that this restauranthas options for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free due to thyroid health) and they even adjust the appetizer sampler to begluten free upon request! This food is well worth the drive from Augusta! My kids really miss the buffet and we hope restaurantdining will come back! Read more
Why do not have more than five starts here? Food was amazing. I never had that kind of taste in USA. Owner and son are nice.... They are awesome guys. Fresh food. No acidity or heart burn even having spicy and oily foods. We came from Philadelphia ( goingto Acadia) around 8:00PM and called them. They kept food ready for us and though dine in was closed, they allowed us to dine inbecause we a were coming from Philadelphia with family. It was not expensive at all. 4 people and 1 kid had dinner there andbill came $50. We had Paratha, Garlic Naan, Paneer Tikka masala, Aloo Gobhi. God bless the Mughal Palace family. So good! Highly recommend their naan. Food was cooked fresh, served hot and so tasty! The perfect carryout for a date night at... home, but not recommended for dining in. Atmosphere inside is... dated, and not really welcoming. I think all their business iscarry-out. Read more
