Had brunch here with some friends while visiting from Asheville, NC. Service was efficient, competent and friendly; we made... reservations in advance, which turned out to have been a very good idea as the place was pretty packed. I had a crab cakesBenedict and a bloody Mary. The Eggs Benedict was outstanding- poached eggs are fraught with gross-out potential; these wereperfect. The Bloody Mary was also excellent- made with their own spicy house recipe and served in a pint glass. Our server wasperfect; there when we needed her but never intrusive. Seafood Chowder was delicious, as was the shrimp and lobster fettuccini. Friends reported their meals (Maple-glazed Salmon,... Scallops, Calamari) to be delicious, as well. Service is very professional, courteous, and timely. Atmosphere is casual andloud, but not offensively so. Read more

New to town and been meaning to come here... and then the anouncement that Craig Common is retiring ????. Long story short we... got reservations to dine before they close thier doors. I cant say enough, The Common Grill is anything but common and lives upto its reputation! Thank you Mr. Common for a delicious evening... happy retirement. *UPDATE* We just learned that the CommonGrill will continue on under new ownership and look forward to future experiences! Read more
The staff is always so pleasant. The food is Fantastic as well as the ambiance at any time of day. I can honestly say I've never... had better crab cakes, and I have had my share. Awesome!! We went twice during our visit and both times the food and service was excellent. There is usually a wait yo get in... but you can make reservations on line. I wish I could have the lobster and shrimp fettuccine every week! Read more
