Chicken is usually fresh but customer service is lacking.
Worker refused to wear a mask and the guy behind me in line asked her to put her mask on and she said no and then continued to... tell him she wouldn't serve him if he was on his phone. Not pleased to see this from a restaurant and gas station during apandemic. So Disrespectful Read more
Best chicken I've ever had
I just discovered this place a few days ago on the drive back from Chicago to our home in Ann Arbor. We are truly blessed to... have several amazing fried chicken joints in this area, and this one gets my highest recommendation. We had a large order ofthe tenders. They were crunchy on the outside, and moist and tender on the inside. Also very nicely seasoned with a subtly spicyand unique blend of herbs and spices. Quite meaty, and not greasy at all, which is always a plus. We got more than we could eatat one sitting. I heated the leftovers up in the toaster oven to pair with waffles, and they were still delicious after a coupledays in the refrigerator. I will definitely be returning soon and often for more. Small restaurant located inside of gas station. There are 2 small tables seating 2 people each and 1 large table seating 4, but... majority of customers take food to go and tables are typically vacant. I was told they make small batches AND often replace itif the food happens to sit for a while -- so the food is pretty fresh. Great place for quick lunch meals, they have rotatingspecials. For larger orders, you can call ahead or wait time is approximately 15 minutes if they need to make more for you onthe spot. Many sides to chose from. I think getting fried chicken here is more affordable here than local KFC. The fried chickenis pretty good, but most of the seasoning is located in the batter. I've had somewhat better flavored fried chicken elsewhere,but, given the price, the chicken is well worth it. The tenders are even better. There is also fried seafood (a little pricierthan the chicken, but it's seafood after all). I've only had the shrimp so far, which were pretty decently sized and delicious.The staff are SO friendly and polite, hard working people. Even though Google says they are open till 9pm.. walked in at 630pm and was completely closed. Not happy
