I wish I could give more stars but we gave this place many tries over the last years and it just does not hit the spot anymore.... I still suggest people to give it a try as everyone has their own taste&preferences, and I find it important to support localbusinesses. Firstly, there is a great selection of unique products that you will most likely not find in your regular grocerystore - all is neatly arranged and the store is clean. What we liked most the last couple times, although we wouldn't repurchaseagain, were the crab and smoked cod cakes and hot smoked salmon. Our least favorites were the sliced Atlantic smoked salmon,smoked salmon potato/leek cakes, smoked salmon jerky and salmon tartinade. The latter had an overwhelming taste of citrus,perhaps lemon - it's all we could taste. Finally, the female staff employee always appeared annoyed when asked for any help orinformation. The only dedicated seafood smokehouse in the region, it has everything you need to assemble a decadent meal. The fish and... seafood that is smoked in house includes salmon, trout, scallops (my favourite!), sturgeon, shrip and tuna. I discovered this little gem entirely by chance and so glad I did. I picked up Maple smoked salmon, Mackerel, and an assorted... salmon/tuna pack. All very delicious, fresh... and highly recommended! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in theneighborhood. While there I suggested they consider smoking freshwater eel. I hope they take me up on it. ???? Read more
