Delicious. Service was quick and nice. Food was great. No complaints at all. Came out in a moderate time, was hot, and seasoned... well. The restaurant week menu was perfect. The food here at La Cita is excellent ! I came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised the lunch specials for 12 bucks were spot... on! 2 tacos your choice of soup salad or rice and black beans, I wasn’t in the mood for soup but the mrs. Ordered it anywayboth were delicious ! She had the fish tacos. I had the steak ones each were plump with meat and succulent flavors from thefresh lime and cilantro. The rice Horchata was so refreshing, I saw one at another table and I just had to have one. Thetortilla chips and black bean with cheese on top was an added bonus. This place is great. Byob and bring your own tequila. Theyhave a lime margarita mix you can buy for the table if you want to mix yours or Have it straight up with ice. Went back a second time on July 1st 2022, still good food but service and cleanleness needs improvement. Too many flies. Great,... little spot. I only gave 4 stars because I didn't like the taste of the shrimp, other than my personal preference on the shrimpdish... everything else was soooooo delicious with great staff. Complete hole in the wall in the best way possible! Water served in repurposed tequila bottles, since it’s BYOB. I am so glad... we saw a previous review that mentioned they serve virgin margaritas and you can bring your own tequila. DO. IT. BYO tequilaand order their virgin margaritas. Your life will be changed. So fresh and so tasty, and you can add how much or how littletequila you want. A dream come true! This was perfect for Father’s Day dinner for my family, since our dad loves authenticMexican food. If you want something legit, look no further. Everything we ordered was delicious. Great food! We got the queso fundito, five different tacos (pictured), Chile relenos (pictured), Quesadilla, A horchada, and... coke and it was less than $75. Great little place, it’s a little small, but the food is outstanding. All the waitresses werevery accommodating and courteous. Will definitely return! Read more

Oh my Birria! When I say you HAVE TO ORDER the Birria tacos here, they are a MUST! It won’t be on the menu, but if you ask for... it they do have it ! This is the best Birria I’ve tried from 4 different places ranging from Edgewater, NJ to Sewell, NJ. Thisone has the best consome and the best tasting meat! Everything is so flavorful! Even the consome is super flavorful! Mostconsome I’ve tried is a bit watered-down, but this one is so great on its own! I like to squeeze my lime in my consome (andI’ll even drop it in there) before I dip my tacos in! We also ordered the guacamole from here, also very good! Mexican food is one of my favorite so I have been to many in my life. Today was my first time here at LaCita. Food was VERY... GOOD. I had the ceviche, carnitas, corn on the cob, horchata. The ladies sitting next to me shared this cheesy empanada lookingfood with me & my son, so nice of them ( I don’t remember the name) but it was really good too. I will definitely come backwhen I’m in the area.
